This Calathea continually gets spider mites. I treat, They seem to go away but then weeks later that sticky leaf is back! Any solutions you can recommend?
3ft to light, indirect
8” pot with drainage
Last watered 4 days ago
@BonusPhalsa have you tried to spay the soil with soapy water and alcohol?

Wipe down the leaves as well and maybe change the soil all together
I have a suggestion, Lori. (: When I treat a plant for bugs, I do so no less than every other day for three weeks. After three weeks, you can usually get all the life-cycles of the pests.

Just remember, they can go from plant to plant so you might want to keep an eye on or treat your other plants. πŸ’š
Have you seen the mites?πŸ˜… I'm just asking because you just refer to the "sticky" leaf, and in my experience these plants might squeeze out sticky sap just by themself sometimes🫣. I'm not completly sure why they do this, could be a little too much or little moisture, humidity, or I have also heard some plants even do it to expel pestsπŸ™ˆ

Your plant looks very healty on the pic! bugs often also makes discoloration on the leaves.

(PS, there are no bugs on my attached picπŸ˜…πŸ’§)
