I finally repotted my mama #StringOfPearls that I suspected was root bound (spoiler alert… she was!) 😬

I’ve been procrastinating on this grueling task for months… now I have 8 new #stringofthings that will πŸ’―
drive me nuts πŸ€ͺ … and a whole lot of propagation strings I will prolly toss in a bucket and forget about for weeks… πŸ˜‚ 🫠😬 #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulents #RepotSeason #lovesuccs #GrowingSuccs #PropagationStation

@roxyvivien what soil mix do you have yours in. Mine has been struggling for awhile ever since I got it.
@LucidAgapanthus I’ve had success with a good quality succulent soil mixed 50/50 with a fine particle bonsai mix ( pumice, clay, bark). This time I went with a soil roughly 50% coco coir, & decomposed bark fines mixed w/ 50% 1/8 inch pumice - the top dressing is Akamada and small grain pumice. SOPs tend to like a slightly more moisture retentive mix than most succulent soil mixes I make but I find they don’t like large particles of gritty mix. So I go for the 1/8” size inorganic soil amendments with better results. Hope that helps! πŸ™πŸ½ πŸ’š
Finally got SOP to grow and act happy in pon in semi hydro setup. Uses more water than I expected. πŸ’¦ Is under grow light and I think that was the missing element in prior attempts. β˜€οΈ Do not know how things will go when it’s time to divide.
Hey! You got it done so I applaud You.

I'm not a grower of anything "string of..." God knows I cannot. 🀭 Izzy looks quite happy and healthy, and despite being rootbound, she now has many babies.

πŸͺ΄ Go You! πŸͺ΄
