Well, we're about a foot tall and almost ready for our first haircut! My first #avocado experiment for #sciencewithgreg has been doing super well and I know he's technically ready for a pot and a haircut but I'm so nervous! But also I don't wanna plant him yet cuz the other two haven't even STARTED growing... πŸ˜…

This one has been growing in β‰ˆ50/50 #mycorrhizalfungi concentrate and plain filtered water with a splash of 25% strength #foxfarmgrowbig fertilizer and a #pothos clipping.

For progress etc check #greatpothosexperiment (the tag I've been using for these to make it easier for me to find, nothing official.)

Wow it is tall! Looks really good. Nice and healthy and pretty
Thanks @SirLiquorice! πŸ™‚
Woah this is FAST growth! Thank you for the update! I won’t lie, I think about your avocado tree every morning 🀣🀣
πŸ˜‚ @kscape I'll try to do more updates for you from now on then! Didn't know anyone was actually interested... πŸ˜…πŸ–€ Also nice to know that my little experiment is actually making a difference! I've never grown one so I had no idea at what rate they normally grow... Lol Also decided imma start watering my basil with this guy's water(50/50)! Can't wait to see it explode! Pothos+Myc water for the win! Lol
@WickedValkyrie Woooo!! This sounds like a fun experiment too!! Yes, I think about your avocado 🀣 I’m so invested in this community’s involvement in Science with Greg, so just know that I’m most definitely interested in this!! πŸ˜πŸ˜βœ¨πŸ’§πŸŒΏ can’t wait!!
That's one of the best avocados growth in water that I've seen, great job Kyera. I grew one years ago when I lived in Florida, eventually did grow into a small tree, but got killed by a rare Florida winter frost!
Aw thanks @Sassylimey! These guys will stay inside as long as possible and when they go out they'll probably stay in pots so I can bring them in, in the winter... It doesn't usually get below freezing here in Cali but when we move back to Oklahoma winter will definitely be an issue. Lol
