Can anyone help my Meyer Lemon Tree?

#MeyerLemonTree #PestControl The story of my poor Meyer Lemon Tree. I have had this tree 3 years, it produced lots of lemons it’s 2nd year, but last Summer I didn’t give it the best of care. but it was surviving and getting new growth. I brought it inside the end of September, repotted it, fed it and put it under the grow lights. It dropped 1/2 its leaves which I expected due to the environmental changes. It then bloomed and produced a number of small lemons, and then dropped them all and the rest of the older leaves. I pruned out all the dead growthI treated it with insecticidal soap as I suspected Spider Mite activity, also was having issues with fungus gnats which I have also been treating. It is now getting new growth and I have discovered soft scale on its branches! The poor thing isn’t getting a break! I have removed the scale with a cottonpad and rubbing alcohol, then sprayed with insecticidal soap in case I missed any. Can anyone recommend anything else I should/ could do for her? Sorry for the long post! #CitrusGrandPrix #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict
I have a lemon tree too. It's not Meyer just a seed out of a lemon I got at work. I've had her for 2 years. No problems until now. She went to dropping leaves like crazy. She has been inside since I started her from seed. I did find out she doesn't like to be sprayed with neem oil. 🀦 She is now outside and when it gets cold I cover her with a tarp. I wish I could be more help. If you add these tags to the end of your posts you will get a quicker answer. #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #citrusgrandprix
Maybe somebody in one of those groups can help you better. Sorry your plant is sick.
@planthoe40 thank you, sort of new here & first time asking for help. I plan to move mine back outside as soon as it’s warm enough, she seems to like it and the pollinators love it when she blooms.
@PetOakleafivy I'm not any expert, and I have grown my lemon tree from the seed, so it's probably not a Meyer Lemon Tree. In the picture, it seems that there's new growth, new leaves coming, so it might have just been the initial shock from getting inside. My lemon tree never gets out (except occasional balcony visits in the summer), and spider mites are a real problem in the winter when the room air is dry. I mist my lemon tree frequently with just water, and if I see any webbing, then I treat it with a product similar to neem oil. My lemon tree has also really perked up after I potted it into an air pruning pot (air pot). My tree is about 10 years old, and now it's covered with leaves but has never actually bloomed.
You have to give it good sun light and water and fertelize it when needed evry 1-2 years repot it that way it can stay healthy longer
