@RoundMahoe I’ve had mine for just a little over 2 months. I did have to take it out and remove a plug cloth around the rhizome of the plant, it’s used when they’re growing in a nursery and I personally prefer taking it off (very very carefully to not damage roots or traps).
The care for them is relatively simple:
-Tons of light!! They are big direct sun and humidity fans, they should get some pretty red coloring if they’re getting ample amounts of light, like 12+ hours of light
-Keep it sitting in a saucer of DISTILLED or RAINWATER *only*!! No tap water or others
-They have to stay in special carnivorous plant soil that is very low in nutrients because that’s what they like, and don’t fertilize them because eating bugs is their fertilizer. A big misconception is that they need to eat all the time to survive, eating is just a little boost— I find my fly trap a fly once a month and feed it, for the rest of the time they survive perfectly well off light and water.
