Beautiful plant and flower.
Wow, that is so awesome! 😍
I love their flowers so much! They're probably one of my favorite flowers (second to Sarracenia flowers). It's always kinda funny how dainty and fragile looking the flowers are compared to the plants, lol. Congrats on the bloom!
@Merranda Thank you!! They are so gorgeous. flowers from the carnivorous plants and succulents are so awesome, they’re very interesting looking!

I was so surprised when my sundew bloomed, I avoided looking up what their flowers were online, and was so excited to see such sweet purple flowers πŸ₯Ί. So so cute! Such deadly plants with such cute flowers
@itsjordan oh my gosh - you mean they bloom!!!!!!!! And you mean Sarracenia bloom too!!!!!! I think I am going to faint. @Merranda I learn something new every time I open this awesome app!! πŸ« πŸ˜πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ’ƒπŸ’šπŸ•Ί
Omg!!! I didn’t know they flowered! Your plant is rewarding you for such amazing care! Ok so I just got mine from the Greg shop too so this is exciting. How long have you had yours? What are your care tips?
@RoundMahoe I’ve had mine for just a little over 2 months. I did have to take it out and remove a plug cloth around the rhizome of the plant, it’s used when they’re growing in a nursery and I personally prefer taking it off (very very carefully to not damage roots or traps).

The care for them is relatively simple:

-Tons of light!! They are big direct sun and humidity fans, they should get some pretty red coloring if they’re getting ample amounts of light, like 12+ hours of light

-Keep it sitting in a saucer of DISTILLED or RAINWATER *only*!! No tap water or others

-They have to stay in special carnivorous plant soil that is very low in nutrients because that’s what they like, and don’t fertilize them because eating bugs is their fertilizer. A big misconception is that they need to eat all the time to survive, eating is just a little boostβ€” I find my fly trap a fly once a month and feed it, for the rest of the time they survive perfectly well off light and water.

A pretty good article to read for care is this one: https://libguides.nybg.org/c.php?g=654975&p=4597429#:~:text=The%20key%20to%20a%20healthy,that%20may%20benefit%20the%20plant
