Jumpscare!! What type of bug is that? I'm not too educated on different bugs.
@Merranda I do believe these are aphids!! Sucking on the back of my leaves of my umbrella tree!
@julesplants oh no!! I've had my fair share of aphids.. Never had an issue with mealybugs, spidermites, etc.. But aphids!! They're my worst enemy !!
@Merranda my plant some how is thriving. After having scale a year back, and it got a huge haircut, and now aphids. They are outside so it’s understandable. And she looks so bushy!
Kill them 😱
@SvelteKingfern πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I use a hose to spray my plant every now and then make sure I get them off
Good idea. A spray with insecticide will kill their eggs too.
@SvelteKingfern I do have some! I will spray!
I find they particularly like new growth. I have a bush outside they like the new growth on every spring, then they disappear when the new growth gets older in the summer. Usually no appreciable damage.
@AC73LoveCats yep! I had just cut off the new growth and tossed the leaves. It’s always putting out new growth so I keep a close eye on
