I'm about to have #notsohappyplants as I start moving everyone inside as the Temps drop. It's always a balancing act of them adjusting to grow lights and my adjusting to how much to water them so they dry out good and don't rot. It's STRESSFUL!

I Love Fall! My favorite season. I live in NYC so i have my humidifiers ready, and in few wks i will put my carnivorous plants in thier lil sphagnum moss home into the fridge for thier dormant state. Im excited to see my winter Succulent start to shine this season. Im not gonna lie, im bit nervous as a first time plant parent going thru this cold season, i will have to be a lil more aware of the dryness that the indoor heat can bring and make sure my plants get extra love... but im excited too. I have my windows open so they can feel the temperature changing too.... watching nature in fall is amazing. Hot coffee in hand, hoodie and a nice stroll around the city makes me excited to curl up on the couch and a blanket with my plant babies at the end of the early nights. #happyplants #seasonchange #plantaddict #plantsmakepeoplehappy #carnivorousclub #plantdad #plantmafia #BrooklynPlants #PlantNYC #nycgreggang

#teamfall y’all!!! I love it all, the flannels, campfires, fall spices, fall gardens (new this year but we have a small one going for the new chickens), football, the trees are changing, baking, there’s so much 😊 usually I have to pull all my plants inside during the winter but this year we moved and the new house has a “sunroom” with screened windows, we’re about to take those out and replace with lexan & glass we have laying around & I can’t wait until that’s done💚 also cannot wait for campfires at this new house, it’s got a fire pit begging for a fire & s’mores
Besides Christmas, it was my mom's fave time of year. Trees changing to a mix of red, orange, yellow. I member going for drives in the country just so she cud look around an enjoy. Every time we go on a bike ride I watch around me, close my eyes, an feel I'm close to her again. She's in the wind and the trees. (Yall made me 😢 dang it). This mth will be 19 yrs. I always feel her more than ever this time of year. (This not the most gorgeous view from my backyard BUT the color change officially begins.)

These guys have all got to come inside, but I don’t mind. Every year my hubs jokes that one day there may not room for him. He might be right! Haha.. I joke.

Now that I live in SC, my fall season is very limited. I miss it. But the calendulas and Asters are so lovely this time of year.
These guys have all got to come inside, but I don’t mind. Every year my hubs jokes that one day there may not room for him. He might be right! Haha.. I joke.

#TeamFall I’m definitely for Fall. Because when it came to time change I never could remember ahead or back. Then came “Fall back, Spring ahead “. And I’m good to go. Otherwise Fall here in Florida isn’t very noticeable yet and one cannot usually differentiate between one season or the other they all seem to kind of run together.
@sarahsalith also….I actually think my heater in my house kicked on this morning!! 🤣 I had the furnace turned down (clearly not far enough though) to 70° and when I heard it I asked Alexa what the temp in the house was and she said “66°”…😳 I said what’s the temp outside….”60°”…..I said yep, it’s Fall y’all!! 😂😂 Good thing I closed the living room window before I went to bed last night!! Lol so definitely getting cooler!!!! 🥶

Where I live I’m fortunate enough to get all 4 seasons, fall is by far my favorite for many reasons like the changing leaves 🍁 pumpkin carving (or anything pumpkin) 🎃 , Halloween 👻, cozy nights watching hocus pocus 🧙🏼♀️, thanksgiving 🦃 my birthday 🎂 & many other falltastic reasons ! 🤭 however as many gardeners know, the cooler weather can mean challenges for us plant parents ! 🤔 {especially because I grow sassy succulents & cacti}. For me this will mean even MORE rearranging of pots 🪴 to find that perfect sunspot, or making more room inside for plants that aren’t hardy to my area (which is most of my oasis). So that means plenty of planning & observation over time to make sure my plants survive over winter & stay happy ! I can admit it’s a bit overwhelming at times, but I love this journey and learning new things from the #GregGang & my plant babies. 🌱✨☺️ so here’s to more shelves, grow lights, and more plant roommates ! And most importantly FALL!! 🥰🍂🍁🎃

#TeamFall here! 🍂🍁🍃 The sights and sounds of autumn make me so happy. Here in Vegas, not many of the trees you'll see will change color-- but there are still some, a beautiful testament to the colder weather approaching. The sky has become cloudy and dim, and there is finally rain! Last night, the weather was at 68°F, and the trees in my neighborhood have been shedding their leaves, and something I've been doing is watch the wind circle around them, and carry some of them away.
For many people, this has been a rough year, but through God's grace, we can get through things, and can be resilient like plants. This is my first year being into plants, and the fall means it's time to get my hands on more plant babies! It's just a beautiful time to go outside and wonder at the beauty of the nature that God has given us, seeing the purple-tinted mountains in a finally cooling horizon. I can't wait to see what autumn has in store for us this year, even if my plants might become #notsohappyplants. I'm looking into getting them a grow light to make them happier. So, here's to a blessed, cool, and worry-free fall to everyone out there!! May your plants be happy and your grow lights (and hearts) be bright.

@sarahsalith I grew up in Ohio. I don’t miss the state, but I definitely miss the seasons. I lived in the mountains of NC for a few years, and that is where I hope to retire someday.
I’m #TeamFall It’s my favorite walking weather! Also I can wear my hoodies and be comfortable outside. I can burrito wrap myself in a blanket and read books. My goal is to continue to have #HappyPlants This year for #IndoorGrowing I’m using fall as a serious winter prep time! I’m getting more grow lights and a new humidifier. #TeamAutumn #TeamSpring haha being in Australia everything is getting all warm and bright! My orchids are in bud or bloom and my hoyas have all started growing peduncles and flowers. Best part this year is finally being able to swap plants with my Aussie greggers! @PoisonIvys and @Gordo have both sent me amazing plants and I have just posted one back to @Gordo @PoisonIvys is being posted next week)

I’m #TeamAutumn and love using that word with my 600 elementary kids! Hopefully not many changes for my indoor plants but I’m grateful for a bit of relief from 105-108F temps here in Texas. I’m so tired of being sad with all the plants in our community dying. 🌱☀️❤️

I’m NOT happy it’s fall, yes, I’m #TeamFall. It means I have to keep an eye on the nighttime temperatures and bring a huge number of plants into the house soon. And it seems like summer barely started. Work has been very time- consuming this year and has taken a lot away from my outside time, so I feel ready to enjoy the summer! The nighttime temps seem colder sooner this year, too. Work also took from my Greg time and I have SO much to show you from the things I DID grow this summer. Which I will do, eventually! Here are pics to show it’s fall: One, the Joe Pye Weed is blooming.(Not really a weed.) Two, the Phlox is starting to wind down. And the biggest marker, to me, is , Three: My ASTERS are blooming!! #teamfall LOVE fall weather, FRIGGIN STOKED FOR HALLOWEEN (decorations the yard, pots, making costumes for plants 😬) but LOATHE what comes after... I hate winter. My body does t function in cold weather... literally will be in a sleeping bag with a blow dryer running. I like my house to feel like the seventh level of hades hot. I'm a summer girl. I like the blazing heat. Luckily, a lot of the plants I have in the ground, I kept in grow pots just for this occasion. I have also been slowly making space throughout the house so that when it gets a wee bit nippy I can nonchalantly and casually sneak them in one by one without anyone noticing .....😈
@TidyTigerpear oh my goodness!! My baby and I have been under the weather and I TOTALLY FORGOT. We just woke up from the longest nap ever. 😆
