Desperate for peace lily root rot fix!
Please help! I was gone for 4 days at Inkcarceration and while I was gone my grandmother took it upon herself to absolutely drench water every plant I have!!! They are all on very carefully maintained watering schedules thankfully I was able to do damage control when I got back on everything but my peace lilies, they have root root and are dropping hard! I need ideas on how to help them get better??? I have gotten all the dead roots off and changed soil. They are very important to me bc they are my Papawβs and he passed away recently
4ft to light, indirect
6β pot with drainage
Last watered 2 years ago
I had this happen when I was away too. I lost a succulent. How do the roots look on the peace Lilly? Iβve saved plants with root rot by taking them out of soil and into a mix of water and hydrogen peroxide until new roots can grow. Can you post a pic of the roots? If they arenβt that bad just a soak in hydrogen peroxide water and then let it dry, then back into the soil with some cinnamon mixed in to help kill bacteria.
If Miley was soaked and experiencing root-rot, @Anxieteabubblethen You should have left her OUT of soil for atleadt two(2) days so that her roots can air out, re-potting her so quickly did not allow ample time for her roots to release all the excess moisture and could just result in ongoing rotting, ohkay?
I hope her roots still looked fresh and not blackened.
I understand about the connection to our #peacelilies ...my Georgily was from my great-uncle George's funeral.
πΏ Good Luck! πΏ
