I’m hoping my mandarin tree is fruiting. I brought it indoors for the Winter but take her out daily for air and sun. I just found these today. Feeling hopeful. We will see….

Hi there!
It's been my experience that plants and indoor trees don't like being moved around but do their best when they have their own special spot and moved only to be watered.
It will might be ok under a grow light for 12 hours daily, unless you have a sunny window and also she would appreciate being near a humidifier...
Wishing you the best! 🌻
But...if she's happy...and she looks happy and healthy, continue what you're doing!
I can smell that incredible fragrance from here... 🤗

@Artonina Thank you! I’m not sure his old it is however it has reached its maximum height and per the tag, it should be ready to flower at this height.
@CutePolypremum Thank you! She was brought indoors because of a freeze we were expecting. She’s in a pot however she will be going into the ground in a few days to stay there. Her designated spot will get lots of sunlight and she will be t watered via a drip system. She’s currently under a grow light that stays in 24 hours per day and she’s just started putting out new leaves and the buds I noticed. I didn’t expect that. She is surrounded by other plants so she isn’t feeling out of her environment and I think that helps a lot. I’m planning on planting several trees through next week smehile it’s still cool enough outdoors . I’m in Texas and it’s warm out already. My roses are blooming and my bulbs have sprouted already! 😅 I just need to get her some fresh organic soil to build up her spot and she should be ok. I’ll keep everyone updated to see how she progresses. And yes! I get to smell some kind of citrus fragrance every morning when I leave my bedroom and come around to where she is. She gets a misting twice a day with her indoor friends, too. I am definitely watching the moisture level of her foliage because u don’t want her to crisp. She’s doing good so far! Thanks for your advice! I appreciate it!

Hi again dear Caroline.
After reading your comment I say... just keep on keeping on. It's marvelous how you're taking care of her. She's going to be planted outside under the best of care!
We once had a 3 acre avocado grove and put in a drip irrigation system. The trees loved it. I called it my magic garden and enjoyed sitting underneath the trees, just taking them all in.
Our little grove was all organic. We picked our own fruit and sold it at the Farmers Coop.
We also had artichokes and even bees! 🐝🐝🐝
This was in Vista, California almost 50 years ago, before that area became crowded and suburbia took over...

@CutePolypremum Wow! I spent one year in paradise overseas on four acres of sugar cane, pineapples, cherries, mango trees, avocado trees, coconut trees, and Mary Jane! Very fond memories and I just got my flowering cherry today along a a Bloodgood maple. I plan to enclose another part of my property to grow food but I’m planting pollinator plants first. Once they are established, the food will go in.
I can only do organic because I’m allergic to something in synthetics so I have to cautious if I do use a synthetic. I prefer getting a truckload of dirt and manure for Valentine’s Day just because it’s going to help my lil patch of land.
How lovely to have your experiences! I can picture it in my mind! We are looking forward to getting our first mandarins. I may purchase another to alternate them since they only fruit every other year. The goal is to grow our own food and I plan to chat with the Texas Attorney General regarding a feed things but one of them is to get the “no chickens” bylaw in my neighborhood removed. I want my own eggs!
