I'm hesitant to share this, but I'm going to anyway.
So, I'm going through a little something.
So, my mom is going to have surgery next week since a painful lump is forming behind her eyelids. It hurts her, and it hurts her more as the days go on. I hope it's not cancerous.
So, I'll have to be away from my plants, as well as Moonstone. Heartbreaking, I know. Being away from your everlasting love-making plants and furbaby while going through something tough and possibly life-changing. Worst combo ever. I want to bring at least one of my planty companions, but I'm afraid for it to endure shock or something.
I hope there is a god outcome to all of this. I would like some supporting comments from all of this supportive community. I'll give updates as time goes on.

@Catplantaddict Sorry to hear about your Mom, I‘m keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 that everything will be alright!! As for taking one of your planty companion with you, might be a good idea. It could possibly provide comfort. Since I don’t know where you are going, nor do I know what conditions exist where you’re going, I‘m reluctant to make any suggestions. But possibly a low light, drought tolerant plant might fit the bill. I wish both you and your mom good luck and a quick recovery ❤️🩹! My thoughts are with you!
Sorry to hear about your mum! Wishing her a good outcome through the diagnosis and treatment journey ❤️❤️❤️ Your plant and fur babies will be waiting for you when you get back. And if you do lose any plants during your time away, try not to beat yourself up about it. Life gives you lots of hard choices and you will come out of this a little stronger. Wishing you and your family the best during this difficult time!
@Catplantaddict I am very glad you are sharing this, as it is almost always the best thing you can do to take care of yourself during times like these. I should know, I went through breast cancer and had a lot of support from family and friends. That was 27 years ago and I remain cancer-free.
@AC73LoveCats I wanted to say also that I am happy to respond to your request for support because it sure helped me, and a lot of others I know as well. We are rooting for you and your mom! By all means take a plant along for moral support. And keep us informed, when you can. Thanks for sharing! I will share pics of our Abyssinian cats Cinnamon and Twinkie, and our new pug puppy, Noelle.

Sweetheart, thanks so much for opening your heart...that you feel comfortable looking to your plant sisters and brothers around the world for loving support.
That takes courage!
We do understand you are suffering in so many ways...the unexpected illness of your mom...leaving everything you know and love behind... and, the uncertainty of your mom's upcoming surgery.
So, she needs your love right now, so much. No doubt she feels worried and afraid also.
Is there anyone you know who could take care of your plants and kitty 🐈? At least that would be of help if that friend could come to your house every couple of days or so. It wouldn't be the same as you yourself, but it would help to ease some of the anxiety you are feeling. Just leave simple instructions and your babies will all be fine.
Sending you lots and lots of love, comfort, and prayers that your mom, you, and all of your green and furry babies will have a great outcome!

A message to all of you: the houseplant I choose to bring with me is my Silver Squill. I choose her since she is bringing me lots of joy, overwhelming the sadness by producing 2 pups and 4 flowers. She is also very resilient, perfect to bring.

I'm really sorry to hear this. I really hope that you're mom gets better soon! You're strong and so is she, and I hope the very best outcome for you. It must be really stressful dealing with this.
