During the 1600s in Holland, tulips were so valuable that their bulbs were worth more than gold. The craze was called tulip mania, or tulipomania, and caused the crash of the Dutch economy!

Fun fact: Tulips can continue to grow as much as an inch per day after being cut!

I live 20 miles from Pella, IA where they have the annual Tulip Time Festival. They're gorgeous and are planted all around the town.

Lol I also learned when I lived there for a bit that there's a tulip tax for every resident in order to afford the tulips but hey they're pretty β€οΈπŸ˜‚πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
