Hi, @nellz4estfairyz, that’s beautiful πŸ₯° I just ordered a snake plant from the #GregPlantShop, and I’m so excited. I hear they are super easy to care for and great for the environment. You have just made me even more excited, because I did not know that they produce flowers🐍 🌺
@nellz4estfairyz Happy plant alert! πŸ”” Congratulations πŸŽ‰
I just told my daughter yesterday that β€œsnake plants are AMAZING”! This definitely qualifies. How cool!
Congrats! I have a flower growing on mine too! It’s awesome to see!
@SillyPlantGirl oh wow! I have a baby mikado, I didn’t even know they could flower!
@ValleyOfErlease you and my snake plant with the flower, inspired me to buy more snake plants!!! lol I got this one in the mail today. It’s called Cleopatra. I believe it’s a hybrid of two different snake plants.
@ValleyOfErlease and yea they are super easy to care for, mostly. lol I mean I’ve come close! I think my oldest plant might be a snake plant. I ignored it for months and years and barely ever watered it and it lived! I almost killed it when I started watering it too frequently! So my advice with snake plants is to put them in a bright spot near a window if you have the space, and don’t water too often. If it’s out side in really hot sunny conditions minor in a super bright window maybe you will need to water it every week, but in most indoor growing conditions you can go 2-4 weeks without watering. You want the soil to dry completely for a while before watering.
Aw I just learned a few months ago they could bloom when in perfect conditions. Congratulations!
