Happy Monday!!! I had a great weekend and my hubby was busy! He built me a couple things.....just for plants! Ronaldo loves his new spot.....
@KrunchyWrap that plant in the blue pot on the well cover is a coleus. I'm gonna try to make a big boy outta him!🀣🀣 #plantcrafts #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy

Happy Monday Mary.
Your hubby did an amazing job, love that well cover πŸ₯°
Thank you @Sassylimey He used "our" wood for all that stuff. A big pine we cut down then milled a few years ago. Pretty cool I think....😊πŸ₯°
Beautiful job!!!
Wow! So crafty
Thanks! He is getting better and better....building a new plant shelf for me. 8 foot long.....can't wait!!πŸ˜ŠπŸ™‚πŸ™ƒπŸ₯° @jcPlantProper @Planthoader
@PlantEsteem so fun and so much space for plants 🌱
These are all awesome Mary! Good work hubby!
Thanks @RJG !! I love having all these things to put plants on! He is enabling this habit....and liking the plants more and more 🀭🀣πŸ₯°
@jcPlantProper Yes! I'll finally have the WHOLE window! So excited....
That. Is. AMAZING!! I need to show my husband.

I've been asking my husband for a wishing well. Maybe he'll be inspired now. We actually HAVE a well ... but he doesn't want to expose it.

SO making it a plant spot is PERFECT!!
I know!!! @sarahsalith we had a bucket over our well cap before....so as to not run it over. This is SO much better!!! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
@PlantEsteem This is great on so many levels!! It’s aesthetically pleasing, your plant babies have a lovely new home (and that upcoming 8’ long shelf 🀀😍), hubby gets to sharpen his handyman skills AND he’s starting to like the plants more and more?!! Mary….Happy Labor Day to you!!! Sounds like you’re winning πŸ₯‡ πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸŽ‰πŸ‘πŸΎπŸͺ΄
Aww... thanks @MrsSmith ! It feels that way!πŸ₯³ Happy Labor day to you! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
Such a pretty well cover; he did a fantastic job!

Give that coleus as much sun as you can and he'll get big I promise! They are technically annuals so if you want him to live through the winter make him a cozy home indoors later.

Once it starts to flower you have a couple of options. You can let them grow and hopefully yield seeds if they get pollinated, but the parent plant will die off after. If you don't want the seeds pinch off the flowers when they appear and that should keep the plant more compact and bushy instead of getting leggy.

Earlier this year I planted babies that were about 4-6" tall and now most all of them are hanging over my balcony railing πŸ˜‚
@tmbryant37 that's amazing! I am loving coleus the more and more I learn about them. I plan to take him in so I can make him big! Thanks for the tip about the flowers.....don't want him denying off on me! πŸ₯°
I knew when I started out that mine wouldn't be coming indoors so I let them go to flower. I'm hoping all the little bumbles I saw flying around pollinated them so I'll have seeds for next year.

I was attracted to them because of all the fun colors they come in. I love fall but you don't see a ton of foliage plants with vibrant fall colors, so when I discovered these at my local nursery I decided to give them a shot.
Wow!! @tmbryant37 coleus goals!!! Love them!!!🀩🀩🀩
I've really enjoyed watching them grow up over the summer and will miss them when they die off later this year. But you can see here how the plants are devoting energy to the flowers and not the leaves & branches, so they are thin and tall instead of being bushy.
I want to grow a monster!! 🀩πŸ₯° @tmbryant37
I don't think you'll have any trouble at all!
@PlantEsteem omg your hubby is a rad Chad with building!
Oh and #1 I have a plant named the great Renaldo! #2 heck yes I have faith you can make him a real plant man! Lol #3 I have my SAME KIND OF PLANT IN THE SAME FRIGGIN POT! Holy cow Twinsies!!!
See.....I knew you needed a tag in this post!!! That is some twinsies ESPN stuff going on with us @KrunchyWrap 🀣🀣πŸ₯°
@PlantEsteem
BEAUTIFUL πŸ’–πŸ’πŸ’—πŸ˜
@tmbryant37 my collection is growing!!! They prop so well!! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
I've never tried propagating any of mine but yours look great. You'll have a yard full in no time!
They prop so well!! You have plenty to try with πŸ˜‰ @tmbryant37 I can't wait till spring already. 🀣🀣
Maybe I'll give it a whirl at the end of the growing season just to see what happens.

Did you just cut them and stick in soil, or did you root them in water first?
@tmbryant37 I rooted in water....but I like to see roots. I think they prop well in soil too. πŸ₯°
