Beautiful! 🀩 has much light does that plant like? I only have one philodendron so I’m learning about them, starting from scratch, trying to figure out which ones might work in my house.
Yeah that looks pretty neon green. Or like a racer green… Any tips with care @Travanote1

Yeah I went go get two Philos this weekend. A Princess and Red Anderson, which turns out to be a product of the princess and white Knight, and it’s night and day with the size difference. @nellz4estfairyz
@nellz4estfairyz Tae gets bright direct sun from a north 6ft tall facing window and is in a selfwatering pot that gets liquid nutrients every week.

He's not a fast grower like my Vining philos but he's also a lot thicker in leaf durability.

My Billy philo and gloriosum arrived together and they were in some type of peat moss.

I added them in more peatmoss and made a self watering receptical with a cotton rope and they've been doing really well.

My pink princess is in a mix of soil,slow release fertilizer, orchid bark, chunky perlite, horticulture charcoal and is growing pretty steadily.

My red sun and moonlight philodendrons are not doing too well.

I've had the most success with the philodendrons indoors than outside.

I think it has a lot to do with the attention I give them. πŸ˜…

Watering once a week or using a self watering mechanism helps their roots grow strong and stay moist.
@PlantJedi oooh the red Anderson is a beauty!
@Travanote1 thank you for all the information! I would live to get some of these but they might just need more light than I can give them. Maybe a grow light is in my future. πŸ˜‰
Ooh that’s so pretty
@Travanote1 don’t you love when that happens? I have two Billies and the little one I just bought the big one has huge leaves.
I love these plants
@nellz4estfairyz My Billie Bob is kept in a dark corner of my home with some grow lights. I received this wee starter plant last July & he produces new growth every other week. I truly believe the Philo Billietiae would grow in any given lighting conditions.
@Rockrlee thank you!
