I water when told if the soil is to wet I don't water it. Why does it look so bad?

@RulerVelvetleaf Hi Marie, that doesn’t look like a snake plant to me, maybe a Chinese Evergreen but not a snake plant. Maybe the app has the care wrong because it has the plant wrong? As long as you only water it once it is almost dry and it’s getting good filtered light it should do fine though. Just remember to cut back on the water in the cooler months! Good luck!😁🪴
