Today's project: I have about six branches of an elephant bush in a pot that is so big it never seems to fully dry. As a result, almost all of the leaves have dropped off and I kept finding knats in the soil 🀒🀒

βœ” terra cotta pots
βœ” good soil
βœ” prime spot on the table in front of the window

What's the plan Stephanie?

Welcome to Greg btw!
@plantingideas I'm a big fan of downsizing pots!!!
@RJG divide the branches into two smaller terra cotta pots with better draining soil and lots of sunlight!
@angelw1975 me too!! I knew as soon as I saw the knats that I wanted something smaller, less likely to hold moisture and better suited to the size of the plant!
Sounds solid to me!
Here is the finished product, next to my new babies- I got three tiny mother of thousands 😍

Damn I have the same problem with one of my babies πŸ₯Ί the soil seems to be always wet no matter the amount of sun, tomorrow I need to find a different pot for my Gasteria. Those damn knats πŸ§Ÿβ€β™‚οΈ
