Pineapple propagation made easy!

Pineapple 🍍 propagation time! It’s as easy as 1,2,3!
(Inspired by a previous post I can’t find to link πŸ™ƒ)
1) Twist top off pineapple!
2)Peel down bottom leaves until you see little nodes, then slice bottom until you see nodes.
3)Pop into water and watch it grow rootsπŸ’š #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PropagationStation #EdiblePlants #Pineapple #FunWithPlants #PlantAddict

🀯 thanks for posting @HoyaAddict! Excuse us while we all head to the store to buy a pineapple.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I read that post earlier today and had questions in my mind, now you’ve answered them! Thanks for the photos too, so helpful. You must have read my mind!!! πŸ’šπŸ’š
@DesertRainey Aww you’re welcome! It was such good timing I just managed to get one from work today πŸ˜„ So glad I could help these are so fun to grow 🍍
Time for me to get a pineapple 🍍 😎 @HoyaAddict Yummy to eat and fun to prop!
@DesertRainey Definitely πŸ˜„ If you choose the pineapple yourself in the supermarket you can look for sexy leaves haha
Do you choose one that would be ripe to eat now? You know, the ones that when you pull on a leaf it comes right out? Or do you choose one that is less ripe so it doesn’t rot?
@DesertRainey Less ripe so the leaves are still firm. The pineapple will be okay to ripen in the fridge without the top πŸ˜ƒ
I love this!!! I sent to y dad as he has been having problems trying to grow. This is my little baby:)
Love this Jasmine, I have three pineapple tops growing like crazy πŸ₯°
@Boymom-plantmom Omg so cute and adorable πŸ₯°
@Sassylimey That’s awesome! They’re such fun (and free) plants πŸ₯°

So cool
Thank you so much! @HoyaAddict
Such a cool process. My mouth gets shredded when I eat fresh pineapple though. Hurtz so good
@TattedHibiscus This is one I started last year πŸ₯Ή
@HoyaAddict omg it’s so big!! 😍
@MyFloridaOasis had a pineapple post!! Was that the post you were thinking of @HoyaAddict ?
@PlantEsteem Yes @LatiTish84 Linked me to it thanks though! πŸ’š
@TattedHibiscus Haha yeah and still no stopping it! πŸ₯Ή
Oh darn! I missed that....πŸ˜‹ silly me....
Thanks for the post!! Such good info....πŸ₯°
Thanks @HoyaAddict super informative & much appreciated 😊 I might have another question or 2 this weekend while working on mine πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
I’m totally having a pineapple bush now!
@HoyaAddict That looks like the perfect excuse to do rum baked pineapple to me!! Nomnom & a free plant? Oh, go on then… 🍍 🀀 πŸͺ΄ πŸͺ¬
Thanks! I wondered how one would do that and I’m a bit surprised it’s so very easy! 🍍🍍🍍
I’ve seen many people just plant it instead of letting roots grow. Have you tried that method?
This is so cool!! 🍍
I didn’t even know this way. I just slice the top off, rinse/remove as much flesh as possible. Prop it in soil and watch it grow! Never failed me so far. πŸ€—
@MothGoblin Oh so delicious 🀀 Now I want one haha
@MightyLadybug No I haven’t! I’m sure it would work pretty well but I think we all love watching some roots grow haha.
@BeesZenGarden I might have to try next time! Cutting the top probably does the trick, you’re exposing all those yummy nodes haha
