@sarahsalith I would keep the sunshade. I don't know what yours is rated out( % of sun it blocks) but it takes away for me any anxiety that I could possibly give some to much sun. By the way what a freckin epic greenhouse π I can't wait til next year when I add on to mine
@ShannonMHR it's a 50%. I had my first plant in there an it was more oven than greenhouse. I just baked that poor orchid. π
I might keep an eye on it and move it around a bit so more of the plants get more sun.

@AwesomePlants π€£ Don't poke too much fun at @rjg- I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to ask him lots of questions about his greenhouse! π
@Sassylimey that's a good idea! I think this one is just a little too big and maybe I need the smaller one to cover just the 1:00 - 2:30 sun that is HARSH. π
Thanks, @Pegster - I still have more to move, but I'm going to have to get some help. Some of those plants and pots are so HEAVY! I'm going to wait until my kiddo comes over and put him to work. π
@AC73LoveCats YES! YES! YES! Winter time is my reward for making it through summer! π€£
Thanks, @Annasea! (:
@AC73LoveCats π Jane! Your ponytail palm is AMAZING!! How old is it?!
@sarahsalith Thanks for the best answer. Summer YES, winter NOOOO!!!! Because my plants like it so much outside. They do look impressive inside but they keep yelling at me and asking when they get to go out again. At this point, 7 1/2 monthsβ¦..Then they sigh and start yelling again.
@sarahsalith Austin is 45.
@AC73LoveCats Austin is AMAZING! #PlantGoals for sure!!
@sarahsalith Thank you! He was teeny tiny the year I got him in Austin. This makes me really old.
@sarahsalith love it simply love it!!! πππ
@RJG yes. π

@AC73LoveCats I guess I should have gone for a larger ponytail! Iβm afraid he will never get as big as Austin. Austin is the most fabulous Ponytail Iβve ever seen!!
@sarahsalith You have a dream of a greenhouse. Fabulous πͺ΄
@AnnMarie420 this is a 12x12- I can't wait to see yours!!
@gAnderson you're gonna love it!
I been waiting for this!! Itβs looks GREAT!! Yay #SarahsGreenhouse ππ±
@AnnMarie420 that's going to be AMAZING!
@sarahsalith @AnnMarie420 @gAnderson I have a severe case of Greenhouse Envy π€’
@sarahsalith π€π»π€π»itβll be a start ππ @DesertRainey Iβm sorry π you can come visit anytime! ππͺ΄ππͺ΄
@AC73LoveCats yowza!!! I don't know why, but Ponytails are just so sassy to me! Love her!π
Fine, fine @sarahsalith . @RJG 's greenhouse is okish or whatever!ππ€£ I'll be asking him questions one day as well!π
@sarahsalith when it becomes oven like put a fan in there so the air circulates. I put it on the ground a tilt it a little. Suck up the cool air and push up. Mine got the same way until I got the fan.
@Nightshade no no! Baby steps. (: My first greenhouse was inside and was nice and small. I still have it! π
@ShannonMHR good idea!
I've got a fan and a heater so hopefully I'll make the plants happy! π€π

@sarahsalith π I just need more plants ππβ₯οΈπ±
@Addavis01 those are my outside plants - the inside plants are still inside, but the outside plants needed to be a bit more warm than 30 - 40Β°. π
@DesertRainey @AwesomePlants Thank you, thank you! In Austin, where I lived for a year and got Austin as a teeny plant, I saw ponytail palms growing outside as small trees. That is why I wanted one. I thought they looked awesome. I am impressed mine has lived so long; I think he is trying to be a small tree too, but I could never plant him outside here in Ohio! So he is doing the best he can in a pot. Here is another couple pictures of him. The ones where he is sunny, is where he stays in the summer, on the edge of our porch.
@Addavis01 Anthony, I donβt think it is applicable to Michigan and Ohio. It gets a lot colder here outside in the winter compared to Tennessee. I have to bring all my outside plants inside for the winter. I donβt think a greenhouse like they have would be enough.
@sarahsalith woohoo I am so happy that you got your green house up. Itβs looks great!
Thanks, @tango! It's gonna be full before I know it. (: At least I'll have some happy plants this winter... as long as the power doesn't go out for a week like last winter!! π₯Ά
@sarahsalith uh oh!! My plant room is where my bird is too so it has to be kept relatively warm. π
but a greenhouse would be incredible! Wishing you luck with the power!
