Hey #GregGang, happy Saturday! It's time for another #GregGivesBackGiveaway! 📣

I don't know about you, but I'm itchy. Like, itchy all over and I am trying so hard not to scratch but I also know it's going to happen so maybe I should just give in now? Itching to buy a new plant that is.
Something about the time change and longer days makes my brain do three things: plan the garden, think about playing rugby again, and want to buy all the houseplants.
I have the garden planned, seeds purchased, and am basically waiting until the soil can be worked at this point.
I think I talked myself out of getting back on the pitch for at least another season (I'll have to talk myself out of it again in th fall).
Most importantly, I am repotting, washing leaves, pruning, etc to try and show myself I have enough plants to take care of and don't need more.

BUT we all have that one plant. The plant that we have given up trying to talk ourselves out of and know we will just buy. For me, it is any hoya or ficus I don't have yet. I know that if I walk into a nursery, greenhouse or store and they have one that is not in my collection it will be coming home with me.

SO we want to know, what is your "one plant." The plant you have to have every varietal of, or the plant you have been searching for, or the plant that you know you give into every time, etc? Even better, show us a photo so we can add it to our wishlist!

🌿HOW TO ENTER: Make a comment below letting us know what plant you always know you'll buy when you come across it.

🌿WHEN TO ENTER: The #giveaway is open NOW: Saturday, March 15, 2025 through Tuesday, March 18 at whenever I can sit down and get everyone into the magic wheel!

Three winners will be drawn at random by the magic wheel and the #GregGivesBackWinners will be announced on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Be sure to follow our #GregGivesBack tag to stay posted!

🌿WHO CAN ENTER: Any #Gregger that has not won yet AND lives in the United States! If you are a previous #GregGiveawayWinners or live outside the US we want you to comment below, but you are not eligible to win the #Giveaway THIS TIME.

🌿THE FINE PRINT: All winners have 7 days from the day they are announced as a winner to claim their prize by getting us all the required information. A new winner(s) will be drawn on day 8. All participants may comment as many times as they would like but only one entry per participant (who has not previously won and lives in the United States) will be entered into the wheel.

🌿DON'T FORGET: This giveaway has been put together by the #GregGivesBackSquad and donations from YOU!! Thanks to everyone who has expressed interest in spreading joy and smiles and plants! Feel free to reach out to the Giveaway Squad anytime by shooting us an email at greggersgive@gmail.com to find out how you can participate in the NEXT giveaway! If you want to help us out, we are in need of shipping and physical donations; each prize box is valued around $35 and shipping each box is around $10 to $15 each.

I've already bought a couple succulents and colocasia and caladium bulbs this year. 🫣 I'm really itching to get a sizzle frizzle plant. I know i can get a bulb, but if I see one already sprouting somewhere, it will me mine. Oh yes, it will be mine. Haha.
I personally am obsessed with variegated plants. I have been looking for a Philodendron Strawberry Shake right now! I did find one at one of my local greenhouses, but it was priced at $200! The hunt for a more affordable one continues🪴🤣 (Picture for reference)
🙋🏿‍♀️ Hiya Plant Friend! Don't miss out on your chance to win a #PlantyBoxofGoodies in the #GregGivesBackGiveaway !!

If I came across it, I would 100% buy a jewel orchid discolor. I think it is the most beautiful thing ever. Although i would also get the king anthurium. I love it
Man I would love to get my hands on a Vicks plant, (menthol plant)
It's so easy to grow and often mistaken for (Mexican Mint) what we call Ajwain(Carom) because Mexican Mint smells like Carom seeds.
But I digress,
I would love to get my hands on that Vicks plant, it has a whole bunch of skin benefits too, and someone with itchy and dry skin I would love that
Thats gotta be a wilburvgraves russia? 🥰😍🤩they are beautiful! I have a china and just got a russia start a few weeks back.
@ShinTimeLord - I agree 110% 🤩
BEGONIAS all the way ❤️❤️
They are soooo easy, the leaf patterns are soooo unique, they bounce back rather quickly, and each one is different in its own way! There’s none that are alike! Maybe a close similar, but still different! Haha 😆 it’s kinda hard to explain! It’s one of those you have to see it to understand 🤷🏽‍♀️

My next would definitely be a Calathea! Again, they are soooo beautiful, different, and easy care!
I already have quite a few and would add more in a heartbeat 💗💗

Here’s some of mine 🥰
First 2 pics are my Fireworks Rex, 3rd Begonia Vine, 4th Cracklin Rosie, and last is my baby Polka Dot 🥰
@JenniferNoel Now I just have to find someplace local that sells them. Or wait for good enough weather to order.

Or as an absolute last ditch option, I could *shudder* socialize with people. In person.

😉
I love any trailing plants. Hoyas is my goal right now. I just wanna make my room feel like I’m outside 💖
@gardenspider ooooo that’s now on my list too
@ShinTimeLord - All of mine have come from the internet! I haven’t found any in store unfortunately 😓
Most of the big nurseries put heat packs in the package without asking for more money!
Costa Farms is one of them 🥰
Bubble Blooms/Florida Houseplants is another! And that’s where most of mine have come from! On sale too 🤩 Just depends which one you’re looking for!

You can search on Amazon for Bubbleblooms and they have a page just for begonias under the main tab! If you watch them, they’ll put out a deal of the day and you can get them even cheaper!

Ohh nooo, then you’ll go down the rabbit hole like I’ve done and still continue to do! Just a little warning ‼️

260 plus plants later
🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️
Who me?!? NOOO NEVER 🤪
@JenniferNoel Oohh yes! Yeah, I've picked up about 60 plants just in the last 2 months. Lots of 'clearance' A.K.A. 'neglected plants' from Lowe's and Home Depot. Not why I was there. But the poor little fellas were just sitting there, withered, crunchy and dehydrated. Too weak to cry out for help. I couldn't leave them there. I have a duty as a planthead.

Interestingly enough, a large majority of them are from Costa Farms!

And I just discovered Bubble Blooms earlier this week! Righteous find!
#WickedAwesome #PlantsRock #TheGreen #GetAlongBetterWithPlants
#GregGivesBackGiveaway #greggivesback @PlantMompy I feel you. Although I have no garden to tend to. I was itching to finally add some plant food to the distilled water for my plants. To get them out of dormancy, so to speak. I have already added a Lady Palm (Rhapis excelsa) to the Oasis. As for the plant that I would like to add to my collection, I‘ve been eyeing a Kentia Palm. I don’t know what it is about Palms but lately I’ve developed a soft spot for them. And Kentia Palms are relatively slow growers, and not too demanding in their care. So we will see.
@FabRubbercup ikr, once you fall into the rabbit hole of medicinal plants you don't come back lol
@gardenspider the only issue is my lack of natural light 🥴🥲😂
@AwesomePlants

Good morning lovely plant friend! ☀️💝

Thank you so much! My grow lights arrived yesterday!!!
@ForestDweller a frizzle sizzle is on my wishlist, too! I'm not normally into succs but something about it is so cool!! @PlantPrincesa ohh, I agree about variegation! Good news is that there is a big trend with really expensive houseplants dropping in price so 🤞 they do soon!
@Maddsplantz ohhh, yes! I only have one but I am obsessed with her! I have the 'Beauty Kim' and the pink and white variegation make me swoon every time.
@PrettyPlant94 a jewel orchid has been on my list forever! It's the only orchid I've wanted and I have never seen one in person! I debated getting King and Queen anthuriums once but I just don't know enough about how to take care of them yet.
@gardenspider I love all the different kinds of mint out there! I don't think I've come across a menthol mint either but now I'm going to look more closely.
@TheConservator omg, yes! I don't have any Wilbur Graves yet but if I see one in person I am RUNNING out of the store with it!
@ShinTimeLord I love the range that begonias have! No matter what you're looking for, there is a begonia to match!
@JenniferNoel I agree about how easy begonias are. My beefsteak is one of my OG plants. It was a cutting, I've not given away countless cuttings, it's been over a decade and it's survived so much at this point it's unbelievable. As for calathea, idk if I'd say "easy" 😂 I do have some that are but have also unalived just as many. That said, there are still several on my wishlist.
@FabRubbercup yes! I love that hoyas can trail or climb too, so you can cover a space easily.
@Ms.Persnickety yes! I keep telling myself I need to start adding food to the water as well. I love how much space palms take up.
For me it’s gotta be Hoyas and Orchids especially the variegated kinds. They are just so beautiful 😍
I do love flowers, trees & all the leafy greens but my absolute favorite is succulents. I know they have thousands of varieties but, if it has a weird texture or a wild color I have to have it.. Haven’t counted in a while but I know I’m pushing almost 100 😅 the greenhouse says Goodmorning y’all 🤍
I've become a real colocasia addict recently because of their big, unique, beautiful leaves and their ability to love direct sunlight. Whenever I see one with gorgeous leaves as an adult, I immediately get a starter plant. How can I resist when there are so many beautiful ones?
@OrangeGrass I should try orchids again 🤔
@Artistic_Stoner succs are not for me, but then I see one of those "weird" ones and I am so into them 😂 they are just so cool!
@Seedstarter ohhhh, I feel like colocasia never get enough recognition. I love this!!
@BuffCaperspurge no one is ever a plant parent until they own a monstera (or 10). The fenestrations are so cool, the size is amazing, the fact that they are so forgiving is a blessing. I'm with you on these! I'm glad Coco is coming back! Thank you for showing us your others, too!
@PlantMompy

Dear Ashley.

Yay!

Another fabulous Greg Giveaway.
Good luck everyone!
@UpbeatRosegrape I love mine! Just found out there is a variegated version that I now neeeeeeed
I would to get myself a ping! I have always wanted a carnivorous plant and i have always loved succulents, so a ping would be the perfect combo!!!
@CutePolypremum we love doing these! They bring us all so much joy!
@BuffCaperspurge my phone always capitalizes "Hoya" so I think it knows it's one of my top two plants and deserves the respect of a proper noun? Lol
@UpbeatRosegrape ohhh, those are so cool! And @DollBunnyears definitely need.
@PeachyLovage 10/10 recommend pings! I love mine SO much! I want more but mine keeps multiplying so first I gotta figure out a new setup before the start trying to grow outside the pot 😂
@PlantMompy I know when I see a succulent I have to get one! I have a wishlist of dark succulent varieties, especially an Echeveria 'Dark Prince'.... They're so gorgeous! 🥰
Ooo for me it’s always pothos!! They’re very standard as houseplants but something about all the different variegations make me want to collect all of the kinds i can find. So far i have a golden and an njoy, and i’m getting a marble queen soon! So simple but so gorgeous 😍
@PlantMompy succulents are definitely not for everyone & take the most patience I’ve ever experienced 😂 cacti though, I’m not huge into them but I have a couple only cause my friend is relentless to get me to love them lol!
Do I have time for more plants? Not really. Do I have room for another big plant? Absolutely not. Am I probably gonna buy this soon? Absolutely yes.
@kaleena I bought a 6 inch pot this winter and I’m like what am I going to do when it gets huge 😂
I’m really on a Hoya kick now. It just takes one Hoya to start popping off and you’re hooked. I’m looking for a Hoya Sigillatus locally. And when I find it, it’ll be mine. Added a photo of my newest obsession, Hoya clemensiorum.
Plants that I can’t stop buying would be air plants! Philodendron and monsteras have a serious hold on me too though <33
Also pothos. sorry I wasn’t going to say pothos because that’s so basic… but F basic I love my pot ho so much. My first baby was my pearl n jade and shes really stuck it out with me for so many years now. I almost lost her entirely to thrips last year. We did a big operation and downsizing and I think now shes finally thrip free again!! I’m feeling really optimistic for her now- this felt like a good time to share that :))
I‘m a sucker for a unique philodendron.
OMG I need to enter
@PlantMompy I love fragrant, variegated orchids the most! Such a delight.
@UpbeatRosegrape That’s awesome! Glad you were able to get one!💕✨
@FairyFly ohhh, I haven't seen dark ones!
@cereal I completely agree! They are so "simple" but with ease of care and all the varieties they are a must have!
@Artistic_Stoner I think living in the north east I just don't have their climate, and then I worry about over watering them so I chronically underwater them 😂🤦
@kaleena I finally caved and bought one last spring (or maybe the one before, I've lost track). It lived outside all summer so I didn't have to find room until winter and luckily, I had the perfect spot! But I was certain I wouldn't have room when it was time to bring it in 😂
@PricklyThumb I hear you! Never enough hoyas! I end up getting most of mine as cuttings so at least I have more time to find space for them as they grow, lol.
@jordynlex ohhh, I'm still trying to figure out watering air plants. I always end up underwatering 🥴
@captainstardust never enough philos!
@OrangeGrass sometimes I think we forget indoor plants can smell so good! I wish more sellers let us sort by "strong scent" because it's such a fun surprise!
So I like too Germinate them myself but if I'd have to say I'd pick a Chilean Cherry tree, always a Rose Bush preferably climbing and Pink Pothos. 1st 2 pics I mostly germinated or hydroponic than myself. And the last one. The 3rd Pic is a full shelf of nothing but airplants.
And these
I always find myself buying a succulent. I just love them, so much. I am hoping to buy a String of hearts or a Ruby Necklace next. #GregGivesBackGiveaway #SucculentSquad
I LOVE variegated plants! I would have to say though if I came across a philodendron el choco red rubrijuvenile, a hoya Wilbur graves, or a variegated Alocasia dragon scale I wouldn’t be able to resist!!! I also really love pink variegated plants! I think they’re so unique!
#Syngonium I have to have every variety! Also #TradescantiaNanouk I have 15 different varieties currently.
@UpbeatRosegrape Appreciate the info!💕
Uebelmannia pectinifera. Here is my Precious when it was still precious and (here comes the TMI) hadn't endured my untrained attempts with vermiculite haha.
I’m a sucker for any plant with a pretty flower! I’m crazy about my Hoya plant I got from dad that had never bloomed before last season. I’d like to find a new Hoya I can grow into a blooming princess 💖
I really really really would like a Hoya Latifolia Snow Queen splash silver…. However if I bought one at the price they are right now my husband would possibly burn all of my plants.
I always want to buy anything variegated
@QuirkyPeony81 growing our plants ourselves is so rewarding!
@LavenderFields string of hearts are so precious, I hope you find one soon!
@BogBody oh man, I can't decide which one from your list would be more exciting!
@MrsFiend yes! Syngs and tradescantia are both so fun with all their varieties!
@thenonnon I hope you find one soon!
@Snapdragon my shepardii has the most fragrant blooms of all my hoyas so far. I vote that should be your next one!
@Hoyaobsessed I keep hoping I find someone else locally that loves Hoya as much as I do and we can just trade cuttings all the time to cut down "costs" when to buy the expensive ones. Some of the prices are wild!
So have a problem. I have been buying WAY TOO MANY PLANTS (but I want more). There are 2 plants I am dying to have: the sensitive plant and a variegated albino monstera
@FabRubbercup Me too!
Mine would definitely be this beauty! Acuminata papua variegated.. but it’s a very expensive banana.. so it will wait, I jsut can’t afford 600 on a plant! (At least not yet lol) I do have to say some of these other plants are making me realize I have to expend my list! You all have such gorgeous plants and ideas! I love 💕 it!
@JackHenrysMom I’m with you! I love love love variegated
@gardenspider I absolutely love Vicks plants! I have a big one growing, but I got it on Etsy as a pack, if I can find the seller again, I’ll have to share it! It was a pack of 6 for 25-30 dollars. It was a serious steal! But I wanted to share, cause you can sometimes find them pretty cheap and nice looking.
I’ve been just daydreaming about a snow queen pothos for months, so I finally just ordered one on Amazon, similar to the one in the picture. But if I go plant shopping and happen to see any Aglaonema or Syngoniums that I don’t already have, those are my besties that HAVE to come home with me! The panda galaxy, mojito and the pink allusion syngoniums are all new in the past several months and they have all turned out to be strong healthy, easy going plants. The Aglaonema red army in the middle is very new, so i am just crossing my fingers that is a happy plant. 🪴 #GregGivesBackGiveaway #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #donttellmyhusbandyoucanmailorderplants
Monstera! I love monsteras and want so many more! I really want a Thai Constellation next! The different colors and leaf cuts are so beautiful.
#GregGivesBack I will be getting a Pink Princess Philodendron sometime soon. It's gonna happen...I can feel it!
I’m just waiting for the day I can get my hands on a venom corm. It’s my #1 plant right now. And about 25 Hoyas because they don’t require the fuss like my alo’s do. So I can look at them lovingly and relax but when I look at my Alocasia’s I see work to do 🤣 but I love them.
I want any low-light, air purifying low- maintenance indoor plant that I can get r maybe another ZZ plant
#GregGivesBackGiveaway , I would love to have another adenium that has the double bloom, I have a beautiful red Thai hybrid obesum and somalensis, love adenium/ desert rose
#giveaway #greggivesback I am holding out for a Chinese money plant!
@Ms.Persnickety I love my kentia palm, it's in my daughter's nursery which has low light and it's so forgiving
Every time I see a pink variegated anything
@Seedstarter I just planted black magic bulbs 🙏
hey!! I’d love to grow jasmine as my mum had them in our house when I was growing up and it always reminds me of her 🥹
Pothos. ALL the pothos. 🪴

I have made it my goal to collect as many varieties of pothos as I can!

Last week, I was researching all the common varieties AND less common varieties. I have not stopped thinking about these beauties: Epipremnum Champs Élysées (in separate comment) & Epipremnum Lemon 🍋 Top.

Um ☺️ I am in love.

The “gills” on the bottom of the Champs Élysées are SO PRETTY! They add a unique texture to the leaf!

As for the Lemon 🍋 Top - new growth comes out in a pretty shade of yellow-green and then turns into a slightly darker green as the leaf ages!
For some reason the pictures of the Champs Élysées did not post with my last comment. 🙃
@PlantMompy WOW Those Hoya Blooms!! I wish I could smell them from my phone!! I actually already found"The one!" I've been looking for last week when I went to our local garden center with @RealSimpleMama. I turned the corner and saw it! All fluffy and green! It was love at first sight!! My Ponytail Palm🌴🥰 Also I'm not on your notification list. 😭 How do I get put on it?
I’m gonna have to go with Carmel Marble!! If I ever win the lottery anyways LOL
@Boymom-plantmom Oh My 😱 those leaves!!!!! I've NEVER seen anything like it before! ❤️🥰
@princesspitstop it’s AMAZING
I am itching to get a spider plant, but not sure where to hang it.
I recently got orchids which was my first itch.
@Boymom-plantmom I just recently started adding Philos to the group so that's probably why I've never seen one. How much are they??
@FacileChickory I love Spider Plants 🥰 that's my problem also. I love hanging baskets but I live in an apartment. I did have my husband attach a curved shower curtain rod above our living room window to hang plants from! Maybe that will work for you!
@Boymom-plantmom Oh Lord! That's why you said if you won the lottery hahaha Dang girl I've got plants outside during summer time and spring I already worry about people stealing them while I'm sleeping LMAO 🤣 honestly if people knew how much plants were in general I wouldn't put it past them. But that guy would need to be chained down!!! 🤣🤣🤣
@Boymom-plantmom Let me know when they're on clearance!! 😂
@princesspitstop hahahahaha I totally get it! I usually have around 30 out front in the summer time and I think about this all the time 🤣🥹
@princesspitstop 🤣🤣 like 95% off 😆
@Boymom-plantmom 🤣 AMEN Sister 🙏🙌
#Giveaway. I would like to enter. I have been looking for the right Snake Plant. I know they don’t vary much. I had 2 of them and over watered them to death. They were given to me by a dear friend who has since passed away I will name it PUNKIN after my friend.
@PlantN8or there are so many different ones! I love them!
@PlantN8or I'm sorry to hear about your friend. RIP There are so many different species. Google a Bird's Nest Sansivera and a Shark Fin. Those are 2 of my favorites. Welcome to the app by the way! When you get a snake plant post it on here! Everyone on here is so helpful and they want to see you succeed!! I'm glad you're here! 😊💚🪴
#GregGivesBackGiveaway I have a few obsessions but I would have to say my main one now is any Aglaonema. I think I have 14 at last count. Here are just a few #giveaway #greggivesback
What a hard question 😂 At the moment I’m obsessed with making terrariums, so any 2in plant that loves humidity is coming home with me! In general though, any philodendron I don’t have 💚
I always excited with variegated plantsts, currently looking for a variegated zz( similar to the picture) found some on etsy however those are shipped from outside US so didnot attempt
@UpbeatRosegrape I just recently got an African Milk Tree, only to realize that it’s not a cactus at all! The African Milk Tree, scientifically known as Euphorbia trigona, is a succulent plant, not a cactus, belonging to the Euphorbiaceae family (spurges), and is often mistaken for a cactus due to its spiny, columnar appearance. But does this matter absolutely not!
Mine is any Echeveria, Graptoveria, or Graptosedum. What can I say? I have a thing for a pretty succulent. 😊 #greggivesback
@cereal - 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 YAY!

Me too! Aren’t they all just wonderfully beautiful 🤩
@jordynlex - Do not apologize for basic. 🤪 All pothos plants are simply awesome! I am obsessed with them! There are SO many stunning varieties and colors! 🤗
@nellz4estfairyz - I am so excited to hear you got a snow queen pothos! That plant in on my wishlist! I think they are stunning! 😍
@Boymom-plantmom -
oh my goodness that Carmel Marble is a stunner!
Not entering this giveaway as I’m not in the US but just wanted to share that I am obsessed with aglaonema and cane begonias. I can also feel the budding of a new interest in caladiums! I adore their colour varieties and am obsessed with one a got a few months ago - the orange and neon green one in my photo 😍 I’ve also started realising that euphorbias are amazing and have so many growing in the area where I live so I’ve started taking cuttings to prop at home :)
Wow - it’s hard to say just one! 😜 but I do love my ZZ plants as they are easy to care for.. my big dream plant, which I will never own, is the Raven pink variegated type.. but I can hope one day they will not cost as much ! Did you know there are 25 types??? 🤯😍🫠
@MrsFiend Tradescantias and Syngoniums are two of my biggest weaknesses as well! 😛 Especially tradescantia. If you're ever curious about the names of specific cultivars, tradescantia.uk is an amazing resource. I've learned so much from them (for example, that there are 21 different cultivars of zebrina!). The person who runs the site is also the mod for the tradescantia subreddit 😊
#greggivesback Thanks for another giveaway. I to am itching to purchase some more varieties of #Philodendron ‘s having four already my #PhilodendronBirkin it’s not as beautiful as the trailing varieties.
Top of my list is the sizzle frizzle!

I get the begonia need too!I recently purchased my first begonia Rex escargot and it was a jaw dropping moment to find her. The nursery had two and neither looked very good. I found someone that worked there and asked if they could give it some water and if it would bounce back. An hr later while checking out (it was a beautiful place!) it had perked up nicely and I’m glad I was willing to buy it regardless! Before and after photo #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #BegoniaBrigade #RexBegonia #giveaway #GregGivesBackGiveaway

Thanks for all the great new plants to check out out everyone!
If I came across it I would buy a peace Lilly
@CourtlyKingfern I had no idea there were so many types of zz’s. They are very hard to find. Around me there are only the green and the black raven. I ordered the Oscura, but I think that’s just another name for, or an another similar variety, of the black raven. I also tried to grow a variegated one from a leaf propagation but it didn’t do well. 😢
I live in Az. I am just starting plantimg this year. We kinda went nuts and are trying to plant flowers and vegetables. We are also tryimg to grow our first house plant. I like the ideas of perrenials, and am tryimg to get a few established or will be trying to. Just starting some seeds inside.

Top of the wish list right now, is some kind of exotic beautiful dahlia bulb. I am planning on waiting till next year, because i already bit off more then i can chew. But Dahlia is saved in my cart and on my wish list.
Not my photo as I have yet to find one, but if I ever come across Pink Mountain Rose succulents, I’m buying 10.

These plants are so beautiful and the everlasting “roses” are a dream for me!
@nellz4estfairyz oh my ! Sorry you leaf propagation didn’t go well. I have been temped to do the same.. but your experience does not give me much hope..
I really have a soft spot for Monsteras. I feel like I need to collect them all at this point 🤣 my most recent home depot rescue. I have a Monstera esquilito trimming I'm propagating that I'm super excited for too. And some Thai Constellations that I got as tissue cultures that are thriving. What's one more if I see it at the store 🙈
I am just now getting into buying plants so I’m itching all over the place. But I’m learning so I’m taking it slow.
I would definately purchase and love a ficus tree. I see a majestic green life in its leaves and growth.
Well my local plant pusher has been nagging me to buy this VG billitea🙄. Whuch she knows i love! But its 600$😂 she sats if i dont buy soon shes going to chop@and prop it abd sell it for parts 😤 but 600$!!!😱😱😱 #greggivesback #PlantAddict #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #TheThread
The pucs helpful i guess
I love my Pitcher Plant but lost them last winter. Would love to get more carnivorous plants.
@EcoPlantLover I want to try a sensitive plant, too! The albos are a "some day" plant for me. Idk when or how, just that it will happen. Lol
@Idplantthat I want a variegated banana too, but I don't have the spot for one yet. Bros With Hoes cultivated a "bro-nana" that's white variegation and way less expensive if you need something to hold you over 🫣
@nellz4estfairyz omg these are all so great I can't choose which one to comment on 😂
@AsteroidMouse Thai cons are finally getting so much easier to find! I am OBSESSED with mine... Though when my grocery store had 10" pots for $75 I was very tempted to get a second....
@LargeFieldpansy yes! The pinks are so perfect!

@KDkat3 well, another plant I didn't know I needed 🫣
@ResoluteWildyam never enough low light plants! I love that I can just move them to wherever they bring me the most joy.
@AceHesperaloe ohh, I haven't seen the double blooms. I'll have to Google ASAP!
@Redroxie the plant that keeps on giving! They are so fun!
@YiftPeppermint pink plants bring me so much joy, too
@BodaciousOricad 🥹 the smell is so heavenly! I need to try to grow it one of these days!
@theloveofplants adding Champs Élysées to my list now
@princesspitstop congratulations! My ponytail palm brings me SO much joy I'm glad you found yours (and with a friend!) as for notifications, follow our # and our posts will pop up in your feed.
@Boymom-plantmom when I win the lottery do you want to go halvsies? Because that's the only way I'm getting one too 😂
@FacileChickory I'm glad you're a little less itchy! Luckily, spiders aren't fussy so I'm sure you'll find a good spot when you find one!
@PlantN8or I love the story behind why snakes are next on your list! There are some really cool varieties, it'll be great to see what one ends up being "the one."
@Shells_Garden I think that aglaonema are overlooked, I'm so glad you're scooping them up!
@Azplantchic ohhhh so many good options! Do you have a string of frogs yet? It's one ficus I desperately want but since I haven't ventured into terrarium territory I don't have one yet.
@GoodDamsii17 I feel like these rise and fall in popularity, so I hope they pop up in person for you soon!
@RousingMastic7 it's easy to be a sucker for succs!
@WelsomeRhodotus we appreciate you commenting anyway! We will hopefully be able to branch out to non-US plant friends again soon! I love that the plants you are interested in are the ones that are often overlooked, but so, so cool!
@CourtlyKingfern every once in a while I go down a ZZ rabbit hole and the varieties are SO COOL!
@ILoveMyPlants I have such a love/hate with the philos that don't vine. I love them until I can't get them on a pole 😂
@SmoothPeyote62 I agree with the frizzle sizzle! Begonias can be SO dramatic 😂
@Biancaa I bet you will!
@amhopi dahlias are so stunning! When I worked in the floral industry we got a dinner plate dahlia that was the size of my coworker's head and I was hooked on them!
@mkpinky0908 these always catch my eye but I do not do well with succs. The "rosettes" are SO COOL!
@JovialCaitlin never enough monsteras should be a club at this point. They are just such a fun plant!
@ProLoquat90 I admire your self control!
@SpotonBeeorchid my ficus are my favorite! I support this wholeheartedly!
@BrawnyMachofern one or two or three, I love it!
Oh boy good question, mine was the philodendron billietiae, until a couple weeks ago when I found it for under $20 at a local plant shop. :)
Any pothos I don’t have
Any “String of” plant is a must have for me, there’s something so whimsical about plants that hang down! I love the overgrown look and absolutely adore decorating my bookshelves with them!
I’m such a sucker for rescue plants that still look like they have a fighting chance. I just got a Monstera plant with awful root rot. So much that two leaves had disconnected from the roots and were just sitting in the pot. BUT there was a giant stem left with three leaves that still had an untouched growth node and a small leaf with a growth node. I brought the sweet thing home and gave it a little death bath before setting up a propagation station for them. So far we’re greener and swimming well!
I would live to have a Moonlight butterfly begonia!
Honestly, I'll take anything unique! Any colorful plant, philodendron, Begonia, Hoya, but if I saw a pink Spider I'd be the happiest girl alive! 😍
Begonias 😭 the ones with pretty leaves 🥹 I grow weak
@GracedStrapwort I am sorry to tell you that is an ai generated image
Spider plant
@CopiousDracena SCORE!
@Doobie21 I was terrified of carnivorous plants too. I got some pings and it turns out they are SO EASY, so I vote start there when you're ready!
@Raindrop7 all the pothos, always
@Symoniee so many people struggle with strings, I'm so glad you can enjoy them! I agree that strong and bookshelves are the perfect pair 😍
@DarlingFlaxsilk rescues are so much fun!
@GracedStrapwort I agree with @AmberMallow that I think there are quite a few AI plants on the internet that unfortunately only exist there. I wonder if someone could make one like that somehow. Like a faux plant 🤔
@Candigirl so what you're saying is it's not a "I can't resist" and more of a "plants always follow me home" situation. I like it!
@AmberMallow there are SO many varieties I feel like there is something for everyone!
I love my Monstrea’s ❤️🪴🪴
I love buying sad plants that are typically on sale. I try to revive them and bring them life! It’s so much fun to see them grow and it brings me joy(:
Oh no!! I am sooooo sad. Oh well ...I still love begonias ❤️
I’m a newbie to indoor plant collecting. So far I have about 18 plants and I want more. I’m looking for plants that can handle low light conditions.
My latest must have/will buy is the tri-color mini jade (crassula ovata), it’s been on a I’d like/maybe one day list but lately is just consuming my thoughts!
@PlantMompy oh gosh! I didn’t know “bro-nana’s” were a thing, I’m going to have to see these.. I don’t know if I have space either but dang it, self control when it comes to plants and animals is definitely not my strong suit.. I need an adult if I’m someplace I can get either! 😂
@BrawnyMachofern Yes, me too! They are so beautiful! 😍 Have you seen this one? It’s an Echeveria Kouikihime
I have lately become semi obsessed with orchids. I have to hold myself back from getting more. I have my eye out for a p bellina, I am dying for these more fragrant orchids. I also paint and draw, and have become obsessed with drawing them. Anyway, hopefully, I can hold back, as I live in a small NYC apartment. 🤣
Hi. Im. A new plant momma. So far I have accumulated 2 Peace lilies , A Bromliad, 4 snake plants, a split rock, bromlaid split##
Great topic @PlantMompy !!🥰

Like many others, my "one plant" is actually an entire variety of plants (ok ok, more like varieties—plural—but for the sake of this post I'll focus on just one 😜).

TRADESCANTIAS! My affection and interest in them is as much about the ones I have as the ones I don't. Outside of maybe 2-3 of the most popular cultivars (zebrina 'Violet Hill', zebrina 'Burgundy', T. pallida), they're difficult to find in most nurseries and big box stores. So if I walked in and saw a Tradescantia for sale that I didn't already own, I'd LOSE. MY. MIND. 🤯😂 Then, after regaining my composure, I'd stampede my way toward the checkout line — throwing elbows, hip-checking strollers, and screaming "crazy plant lady comin' through!!" at the top of my lungs 🤣🤣 (Lol, jk of course!)

While there are many I'd love to own, a few are extra special in their ability to make me DROOL 🤤 They include Tradescantia mundula 'Lisa' (first photo), Tradescantia pallida 'Pale Puma' (second photo), and Tradescantia zebrina 'Quadricolor' (third photo) 😍

Hope everyone has a great week! Good luck, and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!🍀 💚

I am absolutely in love with Calathea plants right now. They are just so beautiful and fun. I got my first one a little bit ago and his name is Disco Ball because he is shiny haha.
I'm obsessed with #philodendron in general, but rn the darker varieties like Black Cardinal, Congo Rojo, Imperial Red, Red Heart, etc. I don't see them often but when I do, I WILL buy one! 🤣
@GracedStrapwort that moonlight butterfly begonia doesn’t even look real! That’s so cool
For me it’s always different types of pothos. They are easy to propagate, I’m in love with how long their vines get, and they are so cool to just have climbing your walls! Legitimately I have three different types of them at this point!! (Here’s a new ones I actually just started propagating today)
Hmmmmmm.. let’s see.. I will ALWAYS buy any kind of monstera if I come across a pretty one. I currently have 4, with 3 propping. I have a window full of succs, but the holy grail is a spiralis- I think they are so cool looking!
@botanicalarts I must paint all my plants! 🤩 Beautiful work!
@Biancaa my local home garden store (Lowe’s) has a great variety including variegated leaves and colorful blooms. Good luck!
@Amarie92 they are so stunning!
@imrootin4you I completely agree! Your username is perfect 🙂
@JerseyRose low light plants are a must have!
@ImitableCatpalm yes! Jades are so forgiving, too!
@Idplantthat I hear that!
@RousingMastic7 I haven't!!! 😍
@botanicalarts or you just need ones that are on different bloom cycles so you can move them around based on dormancy 🫣 your art is beautiful!
@LogicalTitoki32 what a fun variety!
@stephonicle tradescantia are so, so cool! I have gotten and given away so many at this point because I can't keep up 😂 I'm down to a 'Bunny Bellies' and 'Purple Heart' left at the moment.
@Boopeboope they are stunning!
@SteffyHazPlants ohhh, yes the darker ones are so cool!
@TomatooJuicee pothos are a must have!
@LaLaslovlies I hope the plant deities see this post because it seems like most of us need frizzle sizzles in our local shops!
Yes I’ve had my ponytail palm for 49 years this coming summer. And I have two small newer ones. But I can’t avoid buying one when I see a small one especially if not well cared for. They are my ideal plant.
Personally, I’m a sucker for philodendrons. I have 6 different varieties, and I keep seeing more I want! My other plant I fall for is rubber plants, I have 4 different types of them. This picture is from my last plant buying spree 🤗
I love Monsteras, I want to bring them ALL home. I keep going out of my to find them and I need to stop honestly 🤭
@LaLaslovlies OOOO this little lass looks so cool!
My big planters and their trellises are ready for replanting. Mandevilla, here I come, looking for the biggest because that’s what the hummingbirds love!!
Come on spring !
@princesspitstop That is indeed a lovely Ponytail Palm! No wonder you fell in love with it!!😍😍🥰
@BrawnyMachofern So cool. I love orchids. To look at that is because they don’t love me. Every single one I bought in the past has died. Granted I had no clue how I was supposed to take care of them. So sometime last year my sister gave me the Orchid she inherited from her Mil. My sister is a self proclaimed non-plant person. So I have been taking care of her Orchid. First a new leaf developed and I was happy, as was the Plant. And now to my surprise she is actually working on trying to bloom. We will have to wait and see!!
@BuffCaperspurge No, I can‘t say that I‘ve even ever heard of an Old Man Palm! I‘ll definitely will check it out.
@BuffCaperspurge I just found some info on the Old Man Palm! Yes, you can grow an Old Man Palm (Coccothrinax crinita) indoors in a container as a houseplant, but it requires specific care to thrive. Here's a more detailed guide:
Light:
Old Man Palms prefer bright, indirect light, but can tolerate lower light conditions.
Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Watering:
Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings.
Water slowly to ensure the soil is evenly moist.
Once established, they become drought-tolerant.
Humidity:
Most tropical plants benefit from regular moisture, so consider using a humidifier or misting the leaves regularly, especially during the winter months.
Temperature:
Maintain a warm temperature, ideally between 65-80°F (18-27°C).
Avoid cold drafts or blasts of dry, conditioned air.
Fertilizing:
Fertilize with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).
No need to fertilize right away, as the initial slow-release fertilizer can last for several months.
Potting and Repotting:
Choose a pot with good drainage to prevent root rot.
Repot as needed, typically when the plant becomes root-bound or the soil becomes depleted.
A pot that is 2 inches larger than the old one is a good rule of thumb.
Other Care Tips:
Pruning: Remove any dead or damaged fronds to maintain the plant's appearance.
Pests: Keep an eye out for common houseplant pests like spider mites and scale, and treat them promptly if necessary.
Location: Select a location that is away from AC/heating vents and drafts. And the pic I found online.
@BrawnyMachofern Thanks for the tip. I’ll definitely keep that in mind.
@AC73LoveCats every time I look at how much mine has grown I think of yours!!
@LushLeaves25 can never have enough of each!
@ImpishTaraire18 but they are so much fun!
@NonaSooze watching the hummingbirds in the summer is so, so fun!
@BrawnyMachofern I used to think they were super hard but apparently they aren't all super difficult. I'm still skeptical, lol
@Ms.Persnickety I've wanted one since my hubby brought me home a rescue that was too far gone. I tried everything but to no avail. I was heartbroken 💔 Then at the Garden center I turned the corner and stopped dead in my tracks!! I had heart eyes! 😍🤣
The giveaway is officially closed at 1:20p EST. Any entries after this point will not be entered into the drawing, but please comment and show us your plants anyway!
@TheConservator Well, if you can buy parts of the original you could actually watch it grow and that too is very satisfying!
@Symoniee I have a string of pearls and it might be one of my favorite plants EVER!
@GracedStrapwort I’m sorry, but I think that’s AI…
@BrawnyMachofern Right! It’s so pretty!
Thanks! Your plants look so healthy and thriving. Trying to get to that point. Haha! Small world! 🫶🏾
@PlantMompy no frogs….YET. I’m definitely enjoying playing around with new plants.
@BuffCaperspurge I love monsteras also! I have 6 different types so far - delicioso, cobra, Thai, Peru, Swiss cheese AND OBLIQUA!!!! I thought I un-alive’d the Obliqua when I first got it but today it decided to give me a brand new leaf!!! 🥹 Be still my heart!!! I’m so happy! It was REALLY expensive for a cutting off Etsy…Love finding other Monstera lovers out there!!! 🥰
@YiftPeppermint OMG YESSS
@gardenspider took me a while to track this down, and then to track down this post! I hope it can benefit you! https://www.etsy.com/listing/1307843728/?ref=share_ios_native_control
