My favorite part of succulents: beheading them to propagate. Decided to chop my recent rescues as I was worried about stem rot from the store. They've been outside for a week-ish, and I figured with the cold weather we're getting, now is the perfect time to behead them since they need to be indoors anyway. Wish me luck! #succulentsquad #succulentlove #succulents #succulent #echeveria #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #planttherapy #plantmafia
I have a feeling you won’t regret it !! I did the same to my Echeveria Dark Vader, but because it was leggy, took all the leaves off(my first experience with edema lol) & my gosh it has like 7 babies growing on the stem 😍 sorry if you do, but icydk, cinnamon is an excellent thing to put on fresh wounds to refrain from any fungal/ diseases! But to my surprise the tips I chopped did excellent in rooting & have been thriving! Sending all the green love to the new propsπŸ’š good luck & keep us updated!
Good luck!
@Artistic_Stoner I tried using cinnamon for the first time with these. Interested to see the results.
@UltraKoreanfir thank you! πŸ’š
@Charli3Plant I started using it a couple months ago. Not sure if it’s cause Ive done it on all cuttings since but I notice roots faster.. also have heard aloe is an excellent thing to use as a natural root hormone 🧐 I think the cinnamon is going to do your props some justice, you’ll have to let us know your experience.
