It's okay to have #uglyplants πŸ˜‰

Sometimes, stuff happens: wrong plant, wrong environment, wrong pest, wrong time, wrong whatever. I love Greg because it's REAL LIFE! πŸ˜‚ This is NOT instagram.

A few of my uglies!
I have so many! 🀣
Here’s my current ugly plant. I can’t seem to make it happy no matter what I do πŸ˜‚
How’s the greenhouse coming along? I just got a new plant stand delivered today 😊 but this is the photo from online.
And they’re not dead!! Just ugly
Aww....looks like you are ALL trying really hard....
Here is mine.....can't keep a leaf even if I beg!!!
And the one big guy....wants to be a rasin....πŸ˜ͺπŸ˜–
Tish, how fun! This is the stand I like but can’t find where to purchase.
This is my #uglyplants
For the life of me I can’t grow a healthy Boston Fern πŸ˜©πŸ™„
@DesertRainey that’s a beautiful one. It would fit so many plants.
Ooooh.. that apoballis did you wrong too huh @sarahsalith.. I'm still fighting with mines
Wait.. is that the apoballis? It looks Similar if it's not
@angi oh YES! Those asparagus ferns can give you a run for your money!

For me, I found the secret is to keep the soil moist and not let the soil dry out too much. (:

One of my asparagus ferns is in a self-watering violet pot and it seems so happy!
@LatiTish84 that's going to look GREAT! I can't wait to see it when it's FULL of your plants!
@DesertRainey that's going to be AMAZING! I hope you can find it!
@AnnMarie420 thanks for the tag! I'm going to put it on this post, too! 🀣
@ManyLime yes- it's sad Schismatoglottis Thailand. It's actually my second one ... but it is also my LAST! That there is an expensive Bug Salad! #NeverAgain!
@sarahsalith me too! I’ve researched everywhere to no avail. Still hoping…..
@sarahsalith Thanks for the tip! It was a gift & it was given to me in a terracotta pot πŸ˜‚ looks like it’s time to repot!
@angi I have one of those! First time I’ve seen it on here. Over time and trial and error I discovered mine thrives on a LOT of sun whether indoors or out, and an abundance of water. It dries easily so I keep pouring it in and it has drainage so it pours out the bottom and the plant loves that. It does take its soil drying out very well as long as it gets that drenching every several days. But when I give it both the light and water it seems to need, it greens up and fluffs up and keeps putting out new shoots amazingly. Btw when inside for the winter if I don’t stick it right up against a window it yells at me. I mean right up…..I put it on the floor almost touching the window of the sliding glass door. Will add pic of it currently. Before I did the trial and error thing it was browning and falling apart.
@sarahsalith should I switch to a self watering pot?
@JungleLady505 you can- it just depends what the medium is currently. How long have you had it? It looks REALLY good!

My asparagus fern (like yours) has a medium that retains moisture. οΏΌI soak it in the sink when Greg tells me to water it.

My more sensitive Asparagus PlumosaοΏΌ is in a self watering pot. They are notorious for brown ends. I don't EVER let that one dry out- it is always wet. It's in a peat moss mixture. οΏΌ
@sarahsalith that is gorgeous. I don’t know much about these ferns. I got it because it reminded me of my late grandmother. She had a big beautiful fern.
I don’t know how I forgot this ugly thing. It is not happy anywhere I put it. I have repotted it. It won’t thrive but also won’t completely die! πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
@JungleLady505 spider plants aren't worth it!

I have given my spider plants away. Then, out of the blue ... I get thisοΏΌ!

A random spider plant that continuously grows in this pot no matter how many times I yank it out!
@sarahsalith they are kinda one of my faves. This one is growing like crazy a few new pups! But overall happy. The other one is just not good. I try the grow light and humidifier. I can’t win!
