Acclimating my haworthia to outdoor sun! 🌸

β›… It's a partially cloudy, cool month in Los Angeles so I figured this was the best time to acclimate my winter-growers to outdoor sun.

I did this last year with my Haworthia Retusa f. geraldii and she bloomed in spring! 🌸 πŸ™ŒπŸ½

I'll bring these green bbs inside by south-west window when it starts to get too warm in late spring. πŸ™‚

It's a myth that Haworthias don't like direct sun! β€”They just need lower temps 40-70 & TLC to adapt to the rays. 🌀️ πŸ’šπŸ€

That sound like a good idea! Since I live in NJ, I began winterizing my Mezoo Trailing Red succulent plants and Coleus plant since middle of October. I would normally bring them inside at night when the temperature drops below 40Β°F. Then take them back outside during the day for sun if it wasn’t too cold outside. I have my plants inside my house now, near a sunny window.
@L06flower those hanging baskets are gorgeous! 😍

And what a lovely idea to get them extra natural sun in winter! 😊 πŸ’š πŸ’™

Thank you!
These are my first succulents I’ve owned. They are actually really easy to take care of. They were overwatered when I bought them, and I didn’t know if they would survive. However, they are still going strong!
I like your succulent plants too! Very pretty! I like the pot!
Coleus are very easy to grow too. Since we have a lot of deer here in NJ, both Mezoo Trailing Red and Coleus are deer resistant!
@L06flower Thank you! 😊 You are a wonderful plant mom! 🌿
Love the aloe and Haworthias πŸ’šπŸŒΏπŸ€
Thnak you! πŸ’™πŸ’š @kscape

It's one of my favorite and most successful arrangements yet!

Excited to watch them grow this winter & spring.

I can already tell they have been busy, especially the aloe! πŸ™‚
