Does acrylic paint affect terracotta's wicking?

Does acrylic paint affect the absorbency/moisture wicking capabilities of terracotta? #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #succulentlove #cactusclique #WickedValkyrie #socalgreg #socalsuccs #socalcacti
As long as the paint was dry when you planted inside the pot, and as long as the paint is only on the outside, and also not on the bottom, you should be good.
If the pot loses any, at most a small amount, of absorbency I feel it would only affect the most dramatic of succulents, but from what I can see in the photos you should be just fine.
I saw this site posted on a question similar to yours a while ago, might give some insight into if your painting process was done correctly:

I painted some of mine and sealed it with a few different things. I figured I’d just take that into account for watering.
The paint has all bubbled out. I haven’t tried any I haven’t sealed though.
I've used paint pens, oil based, spray paint, and acrylic paint with and without clear finish coats and I've noticed either no difference or very little difference
