Rescue tips for injured birds
Just rescued a bird! I think his wing is broken. I wanted to make a post to the #GregGang up close a picture of one and to give my #Greggers who live in areas with lots of birds tips thinks you should do to prepare incase you ever see a fettered friend in need. First of put the bird in a somewhat small bin or a bin that is easy to carry and allows the bird to move but not too much. If you don’t have a bin with a lid that has hold the grab a towel and put it over the top. If it has the clips then clip it. My bird isn’t making a fuss so I don’t know what you would do I you had a riled up bird which leaves me to the next and most important tip, HAVE YOUR LOCAL ANIMAL CONTROL ON SPEEDIAL! I already did because there was a mangy coyote and i had kind of forgot I had it there and then BAM! I remembered I did right away and called! Just Google “WILD Animal control near me” or something like that till you find a number (make sure it’s not pest control!) My advice only counts for smaller birds so please don’t try to pick up a hawk! (You wouldn’t do that if you called animal control first because they would have told you what to do!) Pick it up with a towel and don’t put food or water in the box unless  instructed! Put in quiet and stark spot and wait for further instructions! @Sassylimey I currently have no updates since the person has not texted me back! I had a dream where they did text me and I found out I put him in the wrong spot (thankfully it was ONLY a dream) but I texted them 2 times yesterday in the afternoon and haven’t gotten one text back! Not even after I said I dropped him off! I would go back but it’s so far away and it’s in the south county which is a REALLY sketchy part of providence 😞
@Sassylimey it’s been soo cold here so that’s why I freaked out in the dream when I found out cause I thought he would have died btw 🥶

Poor little guy! He must have been terrified. If he’s emaciated, his wing might have been broken for a little while and he had issues walking around and getting food… At least you gave him a fighting chance and he’s with people that can take care of him in the best possible way. I hope little Fred makes it! Thank you for rescuing him…. 💖🐦
