It is the PERFECT TIME to use one of my favorite hashtags: #BETTERLATETHANNEVER! 😜 I cannot believe that this year has just flown by and it's ALMOST the BEGINNING of a new YEAR!

So, without further ado, it's time for another #GregGivesBack monthly #Giveaway!

Since this is our last #GregGivesBackGiveaway of the year, how about we post one thing you learned in 2024 and one thing you are looking forward to in 2025. And because we are a group of plant lovers, post a picture of the FIRST plant you see -- even if it's a #NotSoHappyPlant πŸ˜‰

Don’t forget to get others involved by tagging them because we all know that #PlantsMakePeopleHappy and #PlantFriendsAreTheBestFriends! We are the #GregGang!

Remember, each official entry must include one thing you learned in 2024 and one thing you're looking forward to in 2025 AND the FIRST plant you see.

⏱️ WHEN TO ENTER: NOW!! I'm LATE! The #giveaway is open December 15 and we will draw on Tuesday, December 17. (It'll be about a 48 hour window so get crackin, y'all!!)

πŸ† A winner will be drawn at random by the magic wheel and the #GregGivesBackWinners will be announced on Tuesday December 17 ... unless I'm doing it and then it might be late. Be sure to follow our new #GregGivesBackGiveaway tag to stay posted!

πŸ™‹πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈπŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ WHO CAN ENTER: any #PlantAddict and EVERYONE, including our international friends and #TimeTravelers! Greggers outside the 48 States may not receive a physical box, but will definitely receive goodies nonetheless. If you are a previous #GregGiveawayWinners we want you to comment below, but you are not eligible to win the #Giveaway this time around.

πŸ‘‹ HOW TO ENTER: Post in the comments: one thing you learned in 2024 and one thing you are looking forward to in 2025 ... and don't forget to post a picture of the first plant you see! πŸͺ΄

βŒ›οΈ THE FINE PRINT: All winners have 7 days from the day they are announced as a winner to claim their prize by getting us all the required information. A new winner(s) will be drawn on day 8. All participants may comment as many times as they would like but only one entry per participant (who has not previously won) will be entered into the wheel.

DON’T FORGET: This giveaway has been put together by the #GregGivesBackSquad and donations from YOU!! Thanks to everyone who has expressed interest in spreading joy and smiles and plants! Feel free to reach out to the Giveaway Squad anytime by shooting us an email at greggersgive@gmail.com to find out how you can participate in the NEXT giveaway! If you want to help us out, we are in need of shipping and physical donations; each prize box is valued around $35 and shipping each box is around $10 to $15 each.

In 2024 I have learned that you make mistakes and you just gave to pick yourself up and try again. In 2025 I'm looking forward to getting some more plants!πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ‘! The first thing I see is my Jade pothos plant named Anya, so here she is...
I'll go first. (: 2024 - mistakes were made. πŸ˜† 2024 has taught me to CHECK THE WEATHER. πŸ₯Ά (It'll grow back.)

Something I'm looking forward to in 2025 is selling my house (with all the good windows) and finding the PERFECT HOME with enough windows for all my plants. (: Can you say #plantpurge?

I'm looking forward to the new chapter in my story and I'm am NOT looking forward to moving #SarahsGreenhouse πŸ˜†
Oh my goodness, I've learned a lot on the #bestappontheinternet this year 2024 from all my #greggang friends, which do I pick?! Well, the one that comes up first is learning to propagate. From beheading succulents to cacti surgery, I'm now somewhat educated! Something I'm looking forward to learning this coming year 2025 is all the different names and tiny variations in the different succulents and cacti around the world, they're amazing. And the first plant I see in the morning is my big rhododendron bush (tree?) when I take my dog out in the morning.
πŸ™‹πŸΏβ€β™€οΈ Hiya Plant Friend! Don't miss out on your chance to win a #PlantyBoxofGoodies Β in the #GregGivesBackGiveaway !!

In 2024 I learned to let go of worrying about things I can’t control, and in 2025, I’m looking forward to finding my own place to live again! My Rabbit Tracks prayer plant is still blooming so I was taking pics right before I saw this post! πŸ€—πŸͺ΄
What a nice idea. I've learned (the hard way) never ever ever *ever* to water my orchids with non-sterilized dehumidifier water ever againπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ and I'm looking forward to the blooms of the many substitutes and old friends. And to finally getting a grip on my life again. Hopefully πŸ˜€.
First plant I saw is my oncidium twinkle, since I placed it on my coffee table, once it started to bloom. I'll take a picture somewhere else though. The normal chaos is a bit much and has gotten out of hand, I fear.
Ooh that's a tough one singling out just one "lesson learned" this last year! 🀣 But I guess the biggest one for me has been just how much more slowly my plants soil dry out in winter than in summer!

Last year it wasn't such an issue... But my jungle has grown EXPONENTIALLY in the last 12 months πŸ«£πŸ˜‚ and given that they're all huddled together in mini-jungle-corners around the house, the humidity is right up there all year round! πŸ₯΅πŸ’š

I've been fighting rot in a couple and edema in another couple... no fatalities yet! *Touch wood* 🀣 but it's been touch and go! 🫣

What I'm looking forward to in 2025... SPRING!! πŸ’šπŸ₯°πŸ€£ and finally getting my hands on my beautiful Monstera Mint cutting! Lol (I was supposed to get it for my birthday in October, but the seller decided he wanted to hold off as she was pushing out (two) new leaves (one after the other!)... And, tbh, I think he just wants to admire her a bit longer before getting his "big boy pants" on and going in for the chop! πŸ˜‚

The first plant my eyes fell on (& there are several in my bedroom... In a huddle, naturally! πŸ˜‚) was this wee beauty! 😍 My latest acquisition... She's now acclimated, unfurling her latest leaf and over-teady for potting properly (along with FAR more plants than really SHOULD need repotting, as I undoubtedly should've done twenty odd of them already by now! 🀣🀣)

Pic also of my #plantlust Monstera Mint, from which my belated birthday cutting will come... Eventually. In the spring! xx
#GregGivesBackGiveaway #PlantyBoxofGoodies The thing I learned in 2024 is to slow down and enjoy. Stop wishing my life away, as my Gigi would say. I spent time not waiting for a time in the future when my plants would be bigger or the weather would be better. The future is uncertain so take time to enjoy the little moments. My oldest child moved out and my youngest is turning 3 in 8 days. I remember me as a younger mother wishing for the time when they could do certain things for themselves. As I helped my oldest buy stuff for his new home, I longed for the time when he wanted nothing more than to hang with mama. Luckily I get to try again with his baby bro. I’m looking forward to planting my new garden bed in summer 2025 and showing my youngest son how cool it is to eat food you grew from a tiny seed and how to be a good steward to our beautiful earth and all its inhabitants. Cheers to 2025 πŸ₯‚ and Happy Holidays! ❄️
πŸ˜… I'm standing next to this one as I post & water, so it's the first one I see.
One thing I learned in 2024 is that I love terrariums, but the joy of building them is gone too quickly.
In 2025, I am looking forward to finally logging on, reading through materials, and watching πŸ“Ή videos from the Darryl Cheng course. I paid for it, but I have not used it yet. I hope it doesn't expire.
Merry Christmas πŸŽ… πŸŽ„ 🀢
One thing I learned in 2024 was that I honestly don’t know myself very well! I struggle with what brings me joy and happiness but I’m taking steps to figure it out! I’m looking forward to continuing this journey in 2025 by trying new things and not allowing the fear of failure to shut me down!!
Howdy friends ! In 2024 plant related I have learned terracotta with succulents are my best friend πŸ˜… something I’ve learned personally, only you are ultimately in control of your own happiness!
What I look forward to in 2025 is finding our property to build a house & get ALL THE PLANTS 🀭 first plant I see, my Mursaki cause I was admiring how gorgeous her colors have been!

Sending love to everyone on here, cause y’all have made this year loving, helpful, supportive & positive 🀍
@thecrystalbabe @WildNorth @OrangeGrass where y’all at, get in on this 🀍😘
@Artistic_Stoner aahhh pressure! πŸ™ˆ You know my turnaround timeβ€”I’ll hope for a burst of inspiration tonight! In the meantime, send me your wishlist! I have a couple things in mind for you! πŸ’š
This year i have learned that the best you can do is try your best, and that definitely fits for being a plant parent πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

One thing im looking forward to in 2025 is getting more plants and posting my new experiences on Greg!

Last of all, the plant i first saw was a monstera adansonii and here is my gorgeous plant
@WildNorth no sweets, this is for the #greggivesback giveaway!! I want you to win so you can get some goodies 😘
@Artistic_Stoner I knowwww thank you but the burnout is so real right now, so just passing the love around πŸ₯°
@WildNorth Oh my bad! I thought you thought this was for the secret Santa thing πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ No worries love, just wanted to make sure you saw it & entered if you’d like 🀍
@Artistic_Stoner thank you, love ❀️ and hey, it could happen, especially if I say it won’t πŸ™ƒ
I came to Greg last March and have extended by 100 . Luckily the #GregGang was her to help πŸ₯ΉI also learned through Greg that a watering schedule can help plants to thrive versus survive . This silly plant has been hiding her beauty for months with her shooters. I hope #brunchataudreys peeps have seen this @Poi’sedAlbo @Ninabeena @Amateurbotany @UltraKoreanfir @stephonicle and the others all see this . Good luck πŸ€How could I forget πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ 2025 I’d like to have more knowledge than the last.
In 2024 i learned that mistakes can teach you a lot more than perfection can! In 2025 i am looking forward to meeting my goals and getting closer to my family. First plant i saw was my poor monstera (I’ve been away for 2 weeks, definitely need to prune her)
I learned about this wonderful app in 2024. I look forward to learning a lot more new things about plants and gardening in 2025 as I'm still a newbie!! Here's a plant that I see
I’m scared to admit that I learned I don’t have to be perfect with my plants. I struggle with perfectionism. So, that means…I can wait till the next day to water,
I can rearrange my plants until it looks good and if I put it too close to the window it does survive. And i dont have to have a plan for it all.
I’m looking forward to having more flow in 2025. @MusicalRedmint @SweetAzurebluet @stephonicle @PoisedAlbo @Popcornjoness @elisenavidad
@TheOddAsity Good Afternoon! 🌞 Beautiful β€œPotho N Joy! I learned that also, from another member of this site. When she showcased her not so perfect plants. It’s a good thing, also to let other members know and to take pride in any and everything they do regardless of flaw.οΏΌ
@WildNorth manifesting my winning energy to you 🫢🏼
This year I learned that plants are more resilient than you think, and to be gentle and diligent in my self care like I do with my plants. It’s been a rough year mentally and physically but I am looking forward to discovering more plants and learning about what plants I can add to my snail’s enclosure in 2025. First plant I see is my pearls and jade pothos I’m currently watering.
@Artistic_Stoner thank you girly 😘
I’m freaking loving all the self learning I keep reading about. What I see here, is plants have taught each & every one of us confidence.. cause we all want the plants next year πŸ˜‚πŸ€
@WildNorth absolutely welcome πŸ€— isnt it awesome ? I have a conspiracy now that the Greg app was invented to give us gals(& pals) confidence to do better & learn so we buy every plant we see πŸ˜‹
@Artistic_Stoner oh totally. This is no ordinary app. Somehow they managed to bring all of us, all on our own personal journeys, together to share in POSITIVITY. Try to find that anywhere else!
That’s Connie ⬇️ This year I learned so much. Two things I’m super proud of is learning patience and commitment. My plants have definitely taught me patience. I guess I thought I would just jump into plants and boom they grow but no. There’s so much research and care that’s involved if you really want healthy plants. Commitment comes in with my lack of ability of stick to hobbies once I fail. I cannot tell you how many plants are in my plant graveyard, but I will never give up. The reward of watching them grow and flourish has been more than enough to keep me encouraged. In 2025 I’m most looking forward to the then and now pictures of my plants. I cannot wait to see how much they’ve grown in 1 years time. @Kal1withnature
One thing i learned in 2024- how important self care & therapy is. Time to break these generational curses! πŸ’ͺ🏼 What i'm looking forward to in 2025? MORE PLANTS!! & new adventures with my family. Currently at the store looking at plants, what perfect timing 🀣
@GreenPhoenix I LOVE YOUR #siltepecana!! Personally, I like the way they flip about. (:

Since you showed yours, I'll show you mine! It hangs out in my shower and grows and grows! πŸ˜†
@Artistic_Stoner HOW'D you figure out the secret?! πŸ˜‰ They get us hooked and then come up with the #GregPlantShop πŸ˜†
In 2024 I upped my plant game big time, taking a deep dive into understanding plant light requirements, light measurement and setting up grow lights in all my plant areas indoors. I’ve been plant obsessed for nearly 20 years and this is literally the first year I’m doing this! If ever #betterlatethannever applied, it’s this year πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… In 2025, I’m massively looking forward to moving to a bigger house and setting up beautiful new spaces for my plants and getting creative with my new plant arrangements 🌱🌱🌱 And the first plant is see is my monstera deliciosa. She was one of the first cuttings I successfully grew and have since taken many cuttings from 😍
They are not A plants but a group of my plumeria seedlings. I would have never grown them without this app and my love of growing plants from seed. I went from having about ten plants to almost 100 (some not added to my oasis). Growing from seed taught me to start something new and not fear failure. I hope to discover more rare and unique plants to grow from seed and watch them grow next year πŸ€—.
@Seedstarter OH, YES!!! I hope they grow well for you! πŸ’š

I didn't start mine from seed, but I started mine from cuttings and now I've got six and they are getting tall!
In 2024 I learned that I am definitely ready to retire. My profession requires many years of education and I have not wanted to waste that at all, plus i didn’t ever see myself as wanting to stop working, because I love what I do. However, there is so much stress in my current job, that it has finally caught up with me and I finally want to retire and do other things with my time. Besides retiring hopefully early next year, we have finally found a new pug after losing ours a year ago, and we pick her up in a few weeks, and will be welcoming her into the new year. HOORAY!!!! Finally! My picture is one of my newest plants, Calathea Dottie, that I couldn’t not get when we went on my birthday run to the plant store.
@WildNorth you hit the hammer on the head !!
@sarah10orio I figured it out because I have gotten over 2 dozen since joining 😭 taking everything I see people post & adding that to my own experience has given me confidence, confidence makes me buy more πŸ˜‚
In 2024 I learned that fungus and plant disease are easily transmitted to other plants. It’s very important to quarantine plants and treat with fungicides like neem oil. In 2025 I look forward to saving my entire collection of plants from the fungal and plant diseases that have taken over. First plant I saw was my newest addition (whom I also suspect has a disease) a SILVERSWORD!
Ok I have to give this a shot, because I have story worthy of the hashtag #BetterLateThanNever… however, I want to keep the good vibes ONLY here on #thebestappontheinternet πŸ˜‰ so this is what I’m going with…

2024 taught me to question everything I think I know. It has challenged me beyond limitations and changed my perspective on literally everything. I lost a lot of things I cherished, which in turn challenged me to β€œcherish” only what’s worthy, and, thanks to this amazing community that I can’t believe I managed to stumble upon, I’ve not only regained some confidence that was SHOOK, but I found value in myself.

(I was going to skip the hashtag on such a great declaration, but… #PlantsSavedMyMentalHealth - FOR REAL.)

But, while 2024 threatened to take my ability to look forward to much, I am excited for 2025! I have so many things to look forward to, now that I’ve purged all the negativity this year has brought forth. I am starting with a clean slate, headed in the direction of PEACE, with the support of β€œsoul friends” I’m finding throughout this journey (talking about YOU @Artistic_Stoner ☺️ thanks for giving me a kick in the butt to enter #GregGivesBackGiveaway!)

Before my train of thought derails and/or I overthink my sharing, the first plant I see is my #FalseChristmasCactus that I’ve been trying to keep happy (but that’s TBD) πŸ™ƒ

I am so thankful to #GregGang for truly showing up for me in my darkest hour. Peace, love, and (plant) happiness to all of you πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š
I’ve learned that it may look dead it may be dormant. And that you can become close to people you’ve never meet. I look forward to seeing my plants flower. And becoming more familiar with the types of plants I have and their needs.
I learned that fertilizer is really important and probably explains why I didn't have such great luck with plants in the past lol

It's been a wild but fun year of acuumulating plants and learning each of them and their needs.

I think my next venture in the new year will be exploring more of the #Terrarium life and #airplants which I am super excited about and totally looking forward to!!

Attached is Floofert my asparagus fern which is in the middle of my line of sight from my couch seat!
@sarah10orio thank you! She’s a new addition and just come out of quarantine!
I have learned that packing all my plants up and moving them 4 hours away took up more space than my non plant belongings and was stressful. However I look forward to hopefully moving them all across the US in a few months.
Lol plz ignore my lil struggling succulent. It got a little underwatered but it'll be back hopefully. 😬 In 2024 I think I've finally mastered neem oil. I lost a lot of plants in 2023 by overtreating them and burning them. Now new plants get a dunk in the special sauce, there's a splash in the water supply, but NONE on the leaves. When I see mites, the leaves get insecticidal soap only. 😀 It's a process but it seems to be working. 🀞🏾 In 2025 it's return to #farmerfam! I really miss outdoor gardening.
In 2024 I learned about Greg aka #bestappontheinternet which then led me to a fountain of knowledge from other plant fanatics!

I mainly learned and realized you actually gain the best knowledge through time, experience and patience!

I’m excited for 2025 bc I’ve been into plants for almost a year now (in Feb) & I can’t wait to see all the new growth and changes bc of the new things I’ve learned!

Here to #NewGrowth & a New Year!
@WildNorth you go girl, that was beautiful.. proud you entered but also allowed yourself to be vulnerable. It’s nothing but love here, cause I know for a fact this community & plants has healed many as it has for us 🀍 sending love & prosperity to your new journey & new year 😘 soul sister πŸ‘―β€β™€οΈ
@Artistic_Stoner you truly are my soul sister. Many edits were made before finally forcing myself to hit send, thinking β€œMonica will be proud!” … but then I scrolled up and read the rest of them and 😬 mayyybe overdid it? so I proceeded to overthink it all night but worth it for your kind and thoughtful response. Of course you understand how hard it is to allow yourself to be vulnerable. We’re in this together πŸ’—
@elisenavidad I love that! New year, #NewGrowth πŸ’š
I’m outside at the moment, and pansies are the only plants outside at the moment. In 2024 I learned, it’s ok if I lose a leaf or two πŸ˜… from a beautiful healthy plant. It took awhile to not feel like a bad plant mom. lol. Goal for 2025: learn more about each of my many plants, and individualize their care. Thanks to Greg app, this will be attainable! I also want a monstera Thai and a white princess to add to my collection. Good luck everyone! #GregGivesBack #giveaway
I learned a new word in 2024. It's "no." Not everything is a priority to me, and that's okay. It doesn't make me a bad person to set boundaries and decide not to pay attention to certain things. The world goes on just fine without me having to worry about everything. I am allowed to be selective on what I put energy and attention into.

In 2025, I'm looking forward to being done with my bachelors degree.

First πŸͺ΄ I see: My Spider Plant

Tag a friend: @TinyDog @Sirlicorice
@Artistic_Stoner Aww, ty for tagging me πŸ’— I’m sorry i haven’t gotten back to you even though you were so helpful. It’s been quite hectic and I’m feeling the burn out 😩 I hope you’ve been doing well!
This is a great ideaβ€”love it!
One thing I have learned in 2024 was to embrace failure. I have always been afraid of making mistakes even while knowing that it is humanly impossible to do so. But through this hobby, I have come to be SO much more comfortable with making mistakes, and learning from them. It’s completely okay to make mistakes. In fact, mistakes make the best lessons!

One thing I am looking forward to in 2025 is to move into our new place! It has been so exciting getting everything finalized. I can’t wait to find the perfect place for all of my plants and to buy more plants πŸ˜‚πŸŒΏ

The first plant I see is my Euphorbia milii aka crown of thorns because I was admiring the beautiful tiny blooms that are coming out β™₯️

Happy holidays everyone!
@WildNorth I totally am proud! I don’t think you over did it, as many above had/have a similar experience.. your emotions are nothing to be afraid of, it’s what makes YOU special 🀍 you said it best, #WereAllInThisTogether πŸ₯°
@OrangeGrass Glad you entered!! & stuff your sorrys in a sack, I absolutely understand & had a similar week myself πŸ˜… We too, are hoping to get a property & house next year, so I wish nothing but prosperity & a smooth transition for you!! Can’t wait for you to get more plant babies 🌻I’m doing well though, hope you are doing well too!
Not sure if it’s too late to enter but here goes anyway…
I’ve learned that in the beginning you will most likely kill a plant or 2 unfortunately!! As far as what I’m looking forward to in 2025, there are so many things but what first comes to mind is SPRING!!! And more plants πŸ˜‚
In 2024 I learned that water is not my plants love language 🀣 so many are thriving much more now that I water less frequently.

I'm looking forward to watching my tissue culture plants (hopefully) grow in 2025 β™₯️ it started with a free pack of spiritus sancti someone gave me. And has evolved into so much more. They are itty bitty and will hopefully thrive with some TLC.

First plant I see is my psychedelic looking Alocasia Cuprea which has become my favorite alcoasia so far β™₯️
In 2024 I learned that if I'm not learning I'm not growing. πŸͺ΄What I'm looking forward to in 2025? More failures! Because more growth comes from failure than from any success! πŸ’š The first plant that I see is the Thanksgiving Cactus that my Mother-in-law gave me for my birthday! πŸŽ‚ @StarryKentia Don't forget to enter bestie!!! πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š
@princesspitstop nah I'm good! I'll do it when I have my own account! Its sweet of you to remind me though! Hope you win! Tag meπŸ˜‰
@JenniB81 @elisenavidad @TheOddAsity @Macstracks @PioneerRutabaga Thank you to the #GregGivesBackSquad for doing all these monthly giveaways! Happy winter solstice to all my plant friends! One thing that have learned this past year is that not all plants can be saved! 🀣I will sure try though. πŸ€ͺ I have this habit of holding onto plants no matter how sad they are. I’m trying g to get better. β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή I’m looking forward to an exciting move in 2025. It’s a short distance from my current office space in the 2nd floor of my home, to my new office that will be on the first floor where my side porch used to be. My dad and uncle have been working on this home renovation, and I am so thankful for them! πŸ™
Aww Sarah @wildnorth I love your post so much!! πŸ₯° I've had so many years like that recently... But despite all of the kickings life can give you you've embraced change, and that's NEVER a bad thing (though often a hard lesson to learn! We're naturally resistant to it, usually to our cost 🫣).

I hope 2025 brings you all the joy and peace you so OBVIOUSLY deserve (& need!) πŸ₯° I'm so glad you found Greg, and a bestie that does what besties do! Kick you up the arse when needed 🀣 (but standing by with hugs if that's actually more what is required! πŸ₯°). I totally agree, Greg truly IS #thebestappontheinternet πŸ’š I've met so many beautiful, wonderful people on here too! Xxx
@WildNorth You are AMAZING! I love what you said! I, too, have had a bumpy ride, but I have PEACE in my heart and nothing beats that. Sounds like you are bloomming where you have been planted. πŸ’š
@Artistic_Stoner wishing you the same! πŸ’› Are we finally getting that greenhouse your hubby was talking about? 🀣
1 thing I learned this year is just how important humidity is. It’s something I’ve previously overlooked but now that I’m working so hard on it I see how my plants are responding. 1 thing I’m looking forward to is watching this staghorn fern grow this next year!
Omg you guys, so much love! πŸ₯ΉπŸ₯° @sarah10orio @JenniB81 @Artistic_Stoner @BuffCaperspurge @elisenavidad thank you so much for sharing your own experiences and further demonstrating that we all ended up here after a long, weary journey through the depths of hell (overstated? Maybe, but not by a lot, personally!) seeking positivity , acceptance, #selfcare β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή and #goodvibesonly πŸ€— … things that people talk about, while only a few of us know what that *truly* means, IMO.

It’s no coincidence we all found each other, and that has become a (much more worthy) thing to cherish. And for all the BIG things we’ve done, we are ALL amazing! 🀩 #BloomWhereYouArePlanted 🌺

The journey has just begun, and we’re all in this together. Let’s goooo, 2025! Hold my beer 🍺 I’m jumping in head first πŸ˜‚

All my ❀️ to my #soulmates here in #GregGang ✌🏼🫢🏼πŸͺ΄
And a special thanks to #bestappontheinternet for allowing us millennials to go back and edit our posts a dozen times! πŸ˜‚
Communication is HARD! πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
(No for real this is my 5th* edit on a nonsense post πŸ™„πŸ€£)
@WildNorth omg that's a lot! You must be a really strong person! Sending a lot of virtual hugs from here my friendπŸ€—! Hope you stay happy! Have a wonderful new year! Merry almost Christmas everyone🧑🧑
@StarryKentia thank you, and all my well wishes for you! πŸ’πŸ€

Strength only comes when you learn to trust yourself first. Some of us are #latebloomers and THAT’S OKAY! #BetterLateThanNever! πŸ˜‰
@BuffCaperspurge I’m soooo with you on that. Like please never challenge me with this again πŸ™ˆ especially because now I’m invested, so whatever I don’t get I’ll end up buying 🀣
(Too many Sarah’s on here. @sarah10orio can help πŸ’š)
@UltraKoreanfir yes! We should start a Darryl Cheng group! I signed up but haven’t watched yet 🫢🏻
Love all of the posts and bummed I have to go to work soon, so I can’t comment personally. I am incredibly passionate about mental health and like many of you, I’ve learned a lot from caring for my plants. Some you can fight for and some you have to let go. Sometimes you give all of the love and care you have, but external forces cause issues you can’t fix. Sometimes our environment isn’t compatible with the ones we love and vice versa. But at the end of the day, no matter how many losses we face, there is always new growth if we don’t give up. Our plants are incredible teachers and I love sharing this passion for our green babies with all of you Greggers. This has been the best app ever!!! Here’s my morning beauty (who is not loving winter).
@WildNorth awww such a sweet thing to say, Sarah! I’m glad we all found each other & I couldn’t agree more about how #PlantsSavedMyMentalHealth !!

Nothing but love, my dude!! Let’s hear it for 2025! 🀍
@UltraKoreanfir I would take @teacher12’s advice on anything… What are we talking about??
@BuffCaperspurge I really can’t πŸ‘πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ that enough. I feel you, like on every level AND I absolutely approve of you using that to circle back. LOL yay, another soul sister!

The orange bag should be fine. If it’s not, it’s fixable. The stories of the bad batch seemed to come about in late spring-summer. I’d do it, for what that’s worth πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I think it’s hilarious that you said f*ck it and called Amazon. How did you find a phone number?? πŸ˜‚ (no, but really)
@JenniB81 @sarah10orio can you help our friend with #secretplantysanta24? πŸ™
@BuffCaperspurge I legit don’t know how much this is costing me.
(Edit: I realize now that sounded snobby but TRUST ME if you knew my sh*tshow of a life better you’d understand!! What I meant was, I didn’t know I had corners left to cut, but decided I was all in with #BestAppOnThelnternet … in like one day.)
It was worth giving up some stuff. Honestly let’s not make this a thing but I drink a lot less now that I can get on here and laugh and share with you all. Thank you #GregGang for like, every single thing 😊
Thanks for the tag Sarah @wildnorth

Technically the draw for #secretplantysanta24 was done on the 14th honey @buffcaperspurge so I can't match you directly to someone to buy for BUT you can absolutely still take part! (& Joining now, you'll have missed all the stress and hilarity if glitchy systems and trying to figure it out as we go! Haha 🀣)

So... What we need is for you to do is...

1. Please check that your list is set to "public" (I can point you to my post on how to do that if you need help!) because otherwise your (limited) address won't appear for others to buy you a gift.

2. post your wishlist link (in these comments is fine!), so I can add it to the group post. I'll probably do a fresh post tomorrow and relist all the links just v for clarity because there are LOTS of comments now and lots of scrolling required! πŸ˜‚

3. email me at secretplantysanta@gmail.com or DM me through Facebook @jenni.benyon sometimes having an unusual surname really helps! πŸ˜‚) and give me your full name and postal address (as sometimes Amazon STILL doesn't show people their Giftees addresses, even if their list is set to public! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€£ I can then send it to whoever is sending you a gift and they can enter it manually, otherwise they can't send the gift at all! (Addresses will all be deleted after Xmas and will only be shared with the person gifting to you!)

I'll send you the link to the post with all the wishlist links in it. And you should totally join the #secretplantysanta24 group, so you'll see any new posts go up.

Because you won't have a giftee matched to you, you can just choose whoe you want to send a gift to... You probably won't know who the lists belong to as theyre all posted next to their Secret Santas' handles, but there are pot luck lists too which are totally open to everyone to gift to (and that is a great place to start! Pot luck folk wanted to take part but aren't in a position to send a gift themselves this year... and imo gifting to folk who are having a tough time is what Xmas is all about, isn't it?! πŸ₯°)

There's no pressure to spend any particular amount, to send a particular number of gifts etc... it's entirely up to you and what you can manage/ what you would like to do πŸ₯° xx
@buffcaperspurge here is the post with all the Amazon links on it πŸ₯° it may be easier to wait until tmz for the more concise/ update list but you can totally explore them here!

@WildNorth I have decided that my plant hobby, is not costing nearly as much as some other peoples hobbies/addictions! lol so I am comfortable with my plant spending. And I freely drink wine while watering my plants, and also started sharing some coffee with my plants as fertilizer occasionally! 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣 (I don’t share the wine though!)
@nellz4estfairyz hahahaha I’m with you πŸ’―
@WildNorth
@teacher12 and I both purchased an online course by Darrell Cheng that really delves into plant care, with a deep dive into lighting. We both paid for it but never logged in to actually take the course. I like her idea about starting a special group for those of us to encourage each other to move forward with it, ask questions, etc.
We can take that conversation out into a new post.
πŸ›‘πŸ›‘ End of entries. πŸ›‘πŸ›‘
@PleaseLeaf I'll be doing the same this spring from coast to coast 🫠 . Plant purges in my future πŸ₯΄
@OrangeGrass Gosh I wish !! That’s to be determined but no worries I’ll be letting you know to show you 😁
@WildNorth 🀣🀣🀣🀣
@JovialCaitlin First off that is a beautiful Alocasia! And also wanted to say that I also learned the same lesson about water this past year. Actually I’m still learning! lol I went for litterally 7 years ignoring my plants, and then when I finally decided to start giving my pants some attention and love I just wanted to water them every single week! That was clearly too much. We got through it. Only a couple casualties. πŸ€ͺ
@BuffCaperspurge please don’t get frustrated! How can I help?
@BuffCaperspurge I think @JenniB81 was discussing the Secret Santa with you and there was a misunderstanding about the #GregGivesBackGiveaway ; they are different.

Buuuut, regarding the Giveaway, @BuffCaperspurge We entered all entries into the wheel of names and a winner was chosen. Unfortunately, your name wasn't drawn this time, but we do these EVERY month so stay tuned to the tags...we'll have some extra boxes for the next few months 🀫
#GregGivesBackGiveaway It might already be too late but I just saw your post. So here I go. In 2024 I learned to be more patient with my plants! And in 2025 I look forward to being more in control of the β€žmust haveβ€ž syndrome
@awesomeplants thank you!! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

I didn't realise either that @BuffCaperspurge nd I were talking at cross-purposes! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Sorry Tacy, as Awesome says it's two different things! #GregGivesBack is a monthly comp run by Awesome and @sarah10orio
#Secretplantysanta24 is a madness I dreamt up, where people submitted their Amazon links, I matched them up and they all did a traditional "secret Santa" (just plant related) and bought a small gift for another Gregger, just because it's Xmas and it was a lovely, fun thing to do! You can still take part on that if you like... If you want to receive a gift I'll need the link for your Amazon wishlist (I know you said you made one) and you can choose some else's wishlist to buy a gift for them from.

As of tmz the Secret Planty Santa will be open ed up into a "free-for-all" as thee has been an issue with Amazon and addresses, and I'm still waiting for a few to be confirmed so their secret Santas are stuck waiting too... I think it's getting a bit unfair on them to keep them waiting any longer, AND its getting very close to Xmas! So delivery starts to become an issue.

Please let me know if you do want to take part and I'll talk you through how to post your wishlist link (& how to make someone's answer a "best answer" because I know you asked! πŸ₯°) x
@Ms.Persnickety unfortunately a winner was already chosen. Please stay tuned to the tags as we do the #GregGivesBackGiveaway every month.
Thank you @BuffCaperspurge! Speaking of, that's so weird. Found a plant in my yard yesterday that looked cool. Google imaged it and it said it was a caper spurge. Coincidence.... I think not lol.
