So this year I'm planning to get some CPs, what do you think? First one is an genlisea (it catches bugs underground wich is so cool 🤩) the second one is a utricularia (it catches bugs underwater wich is also cool 🤩) and the last picture is a roridula (it catches bugs with sticky traps but it just look so cool 🤩) #cpclubthursday #carnivorousplants #carnivorousclub #shopping
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing.👌🤔
@SvelteKingfern you're welcome, you're welcome 🙂‍↕️
Wow. Those are great and so, so interesting compared to the run of the mill big 4 (vft, drosera, pitcher and ping). Not that I don't love those. But , again, wow. Catching with their roots? I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled. Especially for that amazingly beautiful roridula. Thanks for sharing
@BuffCaperspurge Here: cutworm - sundew, roridula and VFT. Cabbage seedpod weevil - sundew and sarracenia. Diamondback moth - sarracenia, VFT, sundew and roridula. Grasshoppers (small) - sundew, VFT, roridula, sarracenia and nepenthes. Grasshoppers (big) - sarracenia, nepenthes (less efficient). Reaper ants - nepenthes, cephalotus and sarracenia. Mealy bugs - nothing 🙁. Drosophila fly - butterwort, roridula and sundew. Meat fly - sundew, roridula and VFT. Mosquitos (larvae) - utricularia and genlisea (less efficient). Mosquitos (adult) - sundew and butterwort. Underground pests (micro) - genlisea. Underwater pests (micro) - utricularia. Wasps - sarracenia and VFT (less efficient). Spiders (small) (not obligatory) - roridula, sundew and VFT. Spiders (big) (not obligatory) - VFT and roridula
@BuffCaperspurge I personally don't feed them, for the bees the best is sarracenia, big VFT also works
@BuffCaperspurge I’ll be your be catcher!!! Omg I can keep them to pollinate my garden 🤩🥹🌱
@ToMuchPlants 11000/10!!!! That was an amazing post with all the different pests and their plant kryptonite !!! 🤩🌱🤓 adding to my plant notebook now!! Thank you!! @ToMuchPlants @BuffCaperspurge excellent question 🤩🌱
@BuffCaperspurge no, they are not much more expensive than the other ones, well the roridula is a really rare to find so it is a bit more expensive but reasonable
