Just put this tiny little propagation of my Peperomia frost into soil. I love this plant, so incredibly fun to propagate and grow. So satisfying making more plants out of one. I made a bunch as gifts and wanted to keep this smaller one for myself. #Peperomia #PropagationStation #SpringIntoSummer #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict
It is so cute. Nice for gifting. πŸ₯°
Did you just plant the leaves? Or was it a root? Looks so cute and tiny
@CalmTobacco it was originally the leaf. But putting it in water will make it root. Here’s one of the bigger ones before I planted it in soil. I’m actually experimenting with outing thr mother leaf back into the water to see if she will produce again.
@Pegster thx!
How long did it take? I've got a leaf in water and I'm desperately checking for roots every day.
@tacklejackal this is a new batch I’m doing. It’s been 3-4 weeks. It will take a few months to be ready for soil.
So goddamn cute πŸ₯°
@HoyaAddict thx Jasmine.
I have had a lot of issues with rot when trying to prop my pepperomia. I have been letting it callous for about 24 hours, maybe I should let it callous more? I mean maybe 1/12 of my props will not rot πŸ˜₯ any tips?
@calvina this is exactly what I do with mine. I love this little babies underwater. They’re my favorite
@karlv93 sounds like you’re doing all the right things. I’m wondering if it’s your water. Try putting a drop of hydrogen peroxide in it next time. I’ve never had todo this before but I use it all the time to fight fungus and to disinfect around my plants. It does not hurt your plants, I’m fact it is good for it. Worth a try.
@Mojo it’s so fun. I just snipped off the mother leave from a previous propagation and I put it back in. Wondering now if it will produce another.
@calvina I do have it on hand. I will try it thank you so much!
