@planthoe40 I find excuses to GO to Lowes "just to look at the plants" and then find myself rushing home to hide them before my husband gets home 😅
IT’s never ending, I stress about how many I have but still want more 😂 I have been gifting a lot of plants away to friends, plants that don’t bring me joy or duplicates, this has definitely made me feel a bit better. I have also not bought myself a plant this year! Let’s see how long I can go for 😅
@ShadesofGreen before I got into plants I was into fitness and I have about $2,000 worth of equipment that now I want to get rid of but hubby won't let me bc one day I might use it.
@planthoe40 but if you sell it, you have more money for plants AND more space for plants. Make him see this is life changing 😅

Oh absolutely! I think it’s the joy of having a new plant in your care but obviously we don’t really think the care and time we really put into them! It’s all good though! 💚 I’ve been selling a few of my plants slowly so others can also enjoy the plant hobby, #PlantingOnABudget, but keeping my favorites 🙌🏽

@planthoe40 you absolutely won't be. Think of all the bending, lifting, stretching that comes with new furniture, potting, lugging soil around (or switch to Pon, which is heavy as hell). At home gym 🙌🏻😅
I wouldn’t hide my plants from my husband because that feels wrong to me in all seriousness. But I do feel bad that I spend money on something that’s just for ME instead of on bills or family expenses because money is tight sometimes. But this gets more into my value and self esteem than anything else. 🌱☀️❤️
@RealSimpleMama In actuality, I've only hidden one, and it was because of what I paid for it 😅 but my plants come from "my" money, not his. He will only get upset at my plants or my distilled water runs when and IF I look him in the face and tell him I can't pay the bills. We have shared accounts for the house, pets, and miscellaneous bills to keep them all running, but any other money not for that is ours to do with what we please. I just get pleased by plants. He gets pleased by video games 🤷♀️ we also have a weird work/life balance due to me working in a timezone we don't live in, and live in darkness for 6 months put of the year so when I get to feeling sad, he'll say "hey, why don't you go drive around town and look for a new plant after work?" Because he knows my plants and desire to have them and care for them serves multiple purposes for me ❣️ He even names half of them for me 🤷♀️😅
I felt this post and all the comments. When I hit 600 I said ok I’m going on a plant break and then what did I do…I went and bought a couple the.next.day. 🤦♀️🤣 oh well, we’re plant addicts, at least it’s a positive addiction to have imo🥰 it helps our mental health and it is a great way to move around and be active. (I will second that Pon is freakin heavy!😂) my name is Jess, and I have a plant problem, but I’m okay with it💚
