Snooze your hoya for better growth
#GregPSA : it's okay to "snooze" your plants. When you are prompted to water your plants, check the soil before you water. Some pots retain more moisture than others. My Hoya Something or Other has been snoozed for almost a month and I'll "snooze" it again- the soil is still moist. (:
After you "snooze" a plant, Greg will prompt you to water (check) it again in three days.
Some plants do so much better being allowed to dry between waterings. I have SO MUCH GROWTH on this Hoya now.
#Greg helps you to get to know your own plant's watering rhythm. Water on a rhythm- not a schedule. πͺ΄

This post will help a lot of people and new community members to get to know this app a little bit better.
I did know that I snooze watering rhythm, I just didn't know that I am snoozing for 3 days. And that I don't need to water when it alarms again. π
Thank you @sarahsalith

This is an excellent pro-tip @sarahsalith !!! π§ β¨
Youβll always want to double check that the top 1-2 inches (more if itβs a succulent plant) of soil are dry before watering. If theyβre still damp, give that plant a snooze! Greg will learn and adapt from this over time.
Some plants can be exceptions to this, like carnivorous plants and some ferns.

Thanks for making this post! I want to add on, Greg has guidelines for different species water needs but the info is kind of tucked away under FAQs. Imho this info should be more prominentβ¦at least as much as fertilizer. I know its the most important thing I missed when I was new to plant care π
