Just opened up this awesome #PlantMail from #thenextgardener and Iโm so relieved because I forgot to get a heat pack and the company doesnโt guarantee their plants, even with a heat pack(didnโt know that until after my order, but good reason to not buy from them during the winter months!๐) so I was feeling very nervous about the wellbeing of the plants as we were having some very cold weather lately, but thankfully that has improved the last couple days to above freezing at least! Which seems to have been just in time to take it easy on my rather large uninsured package.. here are some #aeoniums, #deceptorcrassula , #rubynecklace, a bunch of beautiful #echeverias, many displaying the early signs of flowering">#flowering, a couple crested echeveria, pachyphytum compacticum rose, some #lithops, a #littlegem, and a nice variety of cuttings that are with the small heart shaped wreath that I plan to hot glue the cuttings onto! Overall I am very pleased with everything I ordered and now have to figure out where the heck to put them all! As I had more space when I ordered them a couple weeks ago than I do nowโฆ space doesnโt stick around long here lol.๐ anywho! Hope you all are having a great day and enjoy your plants as much as I am! #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #greggers #greggang #HappyPlants #NewGrowth #SucculentLove #PlantTherapy #NewPlantMom #RarePlants #plantid #PlantLove #PlantHaul floweringPlants">#floweringPlants #PlantMoms #DIYPlanter #Variegated
@Blueberrypie Oh my gosh Sarah, that is an awesome plant haul!! Nothing better to help with winter blues๐คฉ๐. Reminds me that spring WILL come๐๐
@Blueberrypie Iโm so curious about the hot glue and the wreath. How does that work???? Iโve seen some beautiful and expensive succulents arrangements on Etsy and I wasnโt sure how you take care of them or water them. ๐ค
@Blueberrypie wow, ๐คฉNow that is a true haul! And my goodness, they all look pretty good too! Im glad the weather cooperated. Ive had some bad experiences myself so lately, I tend to only purchase from โlocal shopsโ on Etsy or at least ones on the same coast๐. It seems to have worked out better. Iโm jealous of that one aoneoum I think itโs third plant in the top row. It has an amazing plum like color. I have a few Pink Witch Aeonium (one isnโt doing so well). A large green one, a smaller prop from my giant, as well as a black Aeonium that seems more like a chocolate one. Iโm more partial to the plum color you have. Thatโs awesome!! ๐๐ป Iโm sure youโll find or make adequate space for all of them. Somehow we always manage after moving around a million different things. I guess we know your project over the next several weeks!๐
@Shells_Garden aeoniums are really neat plants, I have a few others, a pretty big pink witch cluster, a couple purple roses, a couple very small black roses, I think a sunburst and another little pink witch. Iโve had some more but I often give my plants to those around me!
@Shells_Garden I love your huge one:) itโs very pretty ๐คฉ and the one of my new ones you like is Medusa
@nellz4estfairyz so the plan is to glue moss on the bottom half of the heart shape and then hot glue the succulents to the moss. You can water it by moistening the moss and thatโs pretty much it! Last year I made a succulent Christmas tree with florists pins and floral foam
@Blueberrypie wow Sarah. What an array of color and variety of shapes. I especially like the one in the 4th photo. The variegation and color combination as well as the perfect rosette shape is just stunning. The large green Aoenium has been outside on my patio for a year and she is not too fussy. Our coldest had been about 34 degrees so far this winter so shes plugging along. My 83 year old neighbor told me she couldnโt care it anymore and asked if I wanted it last year. She gave me that one and about 10 other large succulents/ferns. So far I saved them all. It must have been about $500 worth of plants. They were all in 16-20 inch pots.
@Shells_Garden that sounds like a pretty awesome haul yourself!!
@Blueberrypie thank you. Iโll look for that variety next time Iโm on the hunt. I just purchased a bunch of other plants so I have to wait a while!
@Blueberrypie wow! Thatโs so cool! So how long would something like this stay alive. I@ just thinking I would accidentally kill it??
@nellz4estfairyz probably around 6 weeks if you can give a good serving of neem oil maybe once a week to help keep them healthy, and watering by spraying the moss weekly. The cuttings should be able to grow roots during this time so that you could potentially salvage the succulents when you decide it doesnโt look good anymore or something like that.
