Just wanted to share a lovely Banksia (Australian Native Plant) that I saw on my travels today. I have added a few photos which include them as a flower arrangement as they are stunning flowers and very distinctive (although not unlike Proteas from South Africa)
Also some kangaroo paws in a local garden and a gum tree that has blossomed.

I admit it, Iā€™m biased as I love Australian native plants

@Seymour #Seymour love the red bottle brush too which I confused with the banksia at one stage, much to my embarrassment but I wonder if anyone has ever seen these plants anywhere?
Really lovely and they do look like bottle brushes šŸ˜‚only red
@Seymour Itā€™s funny, but I havenā€™t thought of these plants in a long timeā€¦ we used to have one of these red bottle brush trees on my street when I was a kid growing up in Southern California. I havenā€™t seen these in person since I was a child! They are just lovely! šŸ˜
@Seymour The Banksia looks like it should be called a kangaroo paw! I want to pet it šŸ¤£
Absolutely beautiful and so unique! Love them!!
I have never seen these before. They are very interesting.
@Seymour we have the bottle brushes here in Northern California. They're also in FL, where I was born and lived till age 12...I remember because my mom was quite allergic šŸ˜›
