What can I do? I had her in dirt but she was dying and fell out of the little pot. Now it’s in water but I’m nervous that putting her in water was the wrong move.
24ft to light, indirect
2” pot without drainage

Next time you root a baby spider, place her in a clear glass jar/cup and only let the bottom part touch the water- maybe try cutting those roots and restart??
Unfortunately the roots look rotted. I don't know if it can come back.
😭😭😭
The top part of the plant is still healthy, so it might be worth trying to restart
I agree with @Vonster - can you gently strip off the mushy part and allow it to dry for a day or so?

Then I'd try rooting it in a tiny cup of water. (: Good luck!!
Turns out the brown part was a bunch of dead leaves tangled up between the roots. I cleaned her up and tried again. Fingers crossed πŸ₯Ί
