I got my queen a new nameπŸ˜„

I got this plant for my birthday 5-ish months ago. I had wanted it for a while but heard they could be real divas. So I gave her a name to match what I expected. Fuzzy.

But she has been everything but fuzzy (fussy), and I love her and her painted leaves. I have learned she usually push out 3 leaves per node, and then a flower-stem. She is going for her 5th flower now, even though I repotted her a few weeks ago, and a new leaf is also on its way.

Go Missy, go!🌱🌱🌸 #goeppertia #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #freshleaffriday #calatheawhitefusion #calatheacrew #whitefusioncalathea
3ft to light, indirect
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 4 days ago
That's great! I've not touched them because of the horror stories, but they're beautiful 😍
Leaf- and flower-power🌱🌸
Your plant is so pretty 🀩
οΏΌYour plant is not only tovely but also appears very healthy,’mπŸ˜›πŸ˜› Goof job!
@Gmaill, @FragrantChards, @CasualMymumrose thank you 😊🌱
Wow, that's gorgeous! 😍
Missy is SO. GORGEOUS.
🀩 Well done with her care! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ
I love calatheas SOOOO much. Luckily they love the weather where I am and thrive.
Oh my missy is beautiful
She’s gorgeous!
@MockingJay Each leaf is like a masterpiece. The underside are such a pretty pink hue. I’ve had one in my cart for quite some time. I may just have to hit that order. 😬❀️
@Rockrlee yes they are so beautiful! I am so happy I got one that is happy in my houseπŸ˜„
I hope you hit it off if you decide to order one too🌱🌱😍
Does yours have a sticky residue on the underside of leaves? I just recently got mine and noticed this and it’s on every leaf #stickyicky
@FragrantChards what horror stories? Mine has sticky residue on underside of leaves.
@HopefulCanna I have heard and or read from more expert planty people how challenging they are. I've not dug into researching them. Hope you figure out what that residue is πŸ€”
@HopefulCanna no, no stickynessπŸ™ˆ you should check for pests. Don't place it near other plants yet until you figure it outπŸ’š
So beautiful way to go!!
That’s a beautiful, healthy plant! Don’t see any fuss there! And I love her name! πŸ˜„
Beautiful!! I hope mine flowers for me someday
Calathea white fusion?! Excuse me... 😍 what a beauty! And where do I adopt one 🀣
I'm obsessed with calatheas, and oh wow this is dreamy and so artistic leaves and colors ☺️πŸͺ΄
Thank you allπŸ₯°
@Linx I know right?πŸ˜„ My first one, a Makoyana, made me obsessed with calatheas too, and the white fusion is one of the prittiest I think! I have 7 different calatheas (Goeppertia) nowπŸ˜†

I got mine private from a lady that had devided hers, though have later understood thats not really legal as they are patentedπŸ™ˆ But they have them in plant-stores over here now and then.🌱
@VipSeraphina you might have to search for the flowers if your plant is really full, as they are small and white and usually don't grow longer than the leaves🌱.(As if they are hidingπŸ˜Άβ€πŸŒ«οΈ). It's just easy to spot mine as she doesn't have that many leaves yetπŸ˜†
@MockingJay thank you! Good to know!
Veronica she’s gorgeous keep her away from cold drafts
@clairsheart thank you😊 She is living in my planty-cabinet with friends😁🌱 No drafts there, and easier to keep a little higher humidity for them!
Go calathea go!
Wow wow wow!! This is mine 😭 At least it’s coming back! Excellent job @MockingJay ❀️
@Boymom-plantmom oh wow!πŸ₯² Good to hear it is coming back! They are survivors as long as the roots are fine!
Looks like the sun or some pests got it?
🀩 Wow!
@MockingJay I think lack of humility. Because once I put it in the fish tank it started coming back
@Boymom-plantmom good job😊 Just keep an eye out for pests too, thrips and spider-mites really loves them πŸ‘€
@MockingJay I’m a bit confused 🫀. Is your gorgeous plant β€œFuzzy β€œ or is the plant being β€œfussy”??? If the leaves have short tiny hairs then that means it’s fuzzy, but it the plant is being difficult it’s being fussy 😩. And here is a tongue twister for you. Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear, Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair. Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn’t Fuzzy! Was he? πŸ˜±πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…
@Ms.Persnickety well english isn't my first languageπŸ˜… And I thought Fuzzy was a more appropriate word for a name than FussyπŸ˜† Nevertheless I have now changed the name so no need for more confusionπŸ˜‚
@MockingJay I know exactly what you’re talking about. Since English isn’t my first language either! But I am fascinated with languages (and plants of course) And I find it interesting how small changes in a word can make such a difference.
Thank you for clearing up my confusion! Btw I’m currently studying a fifth language 😱πŸ₯±
@Ms.Persnickety wow you are goodπŸ‘€
I feel I have more than enough just with my own language sometimes πŸ˜‚
@MockingJay I think i would need a cabinet to keep one alive. I have wood heat. Where do you buy a plant cabinet ?She is very beautiful. πŸ€ͺπŸŒ±πŸ’•πŸ₯°β€οΈπŸ™Œ
@SportyWhiskfern thank you 😊
Well the one I got is really just a ordinary cabinet with glass-windows, I bought it used from someone who showcased stones in itπŸ˜† It is from IKEA (but I don't think they sell this specific one anymore).
I too have wood heat. I use a humidifyer too, it's good for us and pets too not only the plantsπŸ˜„
Well it beautiful and it keeps your plants happy. It’s nice to know it doesn’t have to be made for plants for it to work for plants. Thank you for sharing. πŸ€ͺπŸŒ±πŸ’•πŸ₯°β€οΈ
