@OKIEgrnthmb I got an email about the recent orders, they'll ship in two weeks, so excited!
@AwesomePlants woohoo....I can't wait to see your new plant babies!!!
@AwesomePlants my plants should be here on Thursday!!!
@OKIEgrnthmb yippeee!! Hoping UPS delivers early!! I'm soooo excited for you!!
@OKIEgrnthmb πŸ‘€ ... delivered yet?!
@AwesomePlants @sarahsalith @RJG @Gordo @ForFoxSake

My philo order from ecuagenera came today!!!!

Philodendron sp Colombia
Philodendron Pink Princess
Philodendron Gloriousum
Frequently mist the gloriousum with some distilled water to keep humidity up around the plant until it acclimates. Don’t be alarmed if you lose your largest leaves, this happens. It’s sad but you’ll forget once a new leaf emerges. Don’t overwater it. Don’t keep it near any cold air vent. No direct sunlight.

The other 2 are much easier. But if you see leaves dying don’t think you’re doing something wrong. It happens to the best of us. I keep a few of them around as leaf pressings.
@OKIEgrnthmb wow they look so good. Keep me updated please how they acclimatize and how their doing. πŸŒ±πŸ’š
@OKIEgrnthmb yours looked like they came in pretty good shape. How are the roots?
@ForFoxSake thanks for the all pointers!!!
@Gordo I will keep you updated!!πŸ˜‰
@AwesomePlants they roots look good, they were packed in sphagnum moss which was still damp. The PPP has a couple yellowing leaves but nothing to worry bout!!
@OKIEgrnthmb I might be a hoarder but I keep fallen leaves around the house. Not sure that my wife hates it but not sure she loves it either πŸ˜‚

This was the largest leaf from my serpens import.
@ForFoxSake is there much pink in your pink princess? If not, I'd email them.
@ForFoxSake those giant magnificent leaves would be hard to part with!!

You can always go back to grade school and iron them between two sheets of waxed paper!!β€β€πŸ‚πŸ

Well in growing up very rural Nebraska that was one of our autumn art projects in grade school!!
@AwesomePlants doesn’t look like it has much pink to me but you know how PPP can be. It looks way healthier than the ones Costa Farms is shipping out. Pink will come and go. Once it’s under the right lighting youll get what you want
@OKIEgrnthmb that’s what I meant by doing leaf pressings lol. I totally have ironed leaves and tried a few times to make some skeletons but I haven’t gotten that perfect yet
@ForFoxSake yes!!! I love that!!
This is a dropped leaf from a queen anthurium that was slowly rotted away into beautiful artwork πŸ˜‚
@ForFoxSake 😍😍😍 that is beautiful!!
@OKIEgrnthmb break out the wax paper and relive your childhood. It’s way cooler with exotic plants than the yard leaves we ironed β€œback in the day”
@ForFoxSakeπŸ€— i will definitely have to do that!!!
@ForFoxSake oh, its big and looks healthy for sure, but if I'm paying for a PP, then I wanna see pink, otherwise I'd pay less for a burgundy princess, which that very well could be with little variegation. They sent me a red emerald instead of a prince of orange. πŸ€·πŸΏβ€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸΏβ€β™€οΈ
@ForFoxSake I love leaf skeletons!!! Thank you for that article!!!
@AwesomePlants how are your philos from Ecuador doing now??
@OKIEgrnthmb they are going to replace the hummingbird. All are still in sphagnum or water trying to grow some roots, but they are actually adjusting well to my normal conditions. I think I just got a bad shipment. Hoping the next one arrives much better to hopefully be able to pot those. I'm planning on going to a pop up next month and their open house in FL in September so a few that I still want, I can hopefully snag at the open house. They generally have a 20% off at them.
@OKIEgrnthmb how are yours doing?
@AwesomePlants mine are also still in sphagnum. Probably wait another week before potting. So far they doing great!! Since my kiddos have nothing to do during the day, they get to mist a few times a day!!!

That would be cool to go to a pop up!!! I think the closest for me would be Dallas...... but really don't feel like driving to Dallas especially now when it's the temps of hellfire!! Lol

Also waiting for my rooting powder and keike paste to arrive!!!
