Hi everyone! Yesterday, I had my very first plant. Iβve never had to take care of plants before nor was I ever a plant person but Iβm about to go to college and having a plant would light up my dorm room. When went to the store searching for a plant, I knew I had to get her. I fell absolutely in love with her.
I hope to learn so much more about her and plants in general. If you have any advice on how to take care of her, let me know. Anything would help! :)

3β pot with drainage
Last watered 1 month ago
Hi Sharon! Welcome to Greg! She certainly is a beauty, and a good choice for your first plant (you never forget your first...π)
These are generally low-maintenance plants, provided you remember a few important things:
1. Give her lots of sunlightβa bright spot on a window sill is ideal.
2. Don't overwater. This is a big one when it comes to succulents! They're desert plants whose plump leaves store water, meaning they can go a very long time without water. They don't like sitting in wet soilβit can cause the roots to rot and the plant to die. So just make sure the soil is completely dry before watering again (depending on the pot and things like temperature & humidity, it can be anywhere from 1x/week to 1x/month).
Your plant card says it's in a pot with drainage, which is great! So just make sure she gets plenty of sun & you only water when the soil is dry, and she'll flourish πͺ΄π

Hi! Iβm super excited for you! If your dorm doesnβt get a lot of light itβs ok. They thrive under fluorescent lights. If you donβt get a lot of sun or have fluorescent lights, you can get a small grow light which also adds to the decor. Hereβs my desk at work for a lil inspiration. Itβs all about creating an environment that pleases both you and the plant!
@FancyWoodnettle I am a succulent and cacti fan,( you could call me a sucker for succulentsπ
).I love this book called "Happy Cactus", it has information on cacti and succulents. And it does have information about your plant. I'm new to Greg and I only have one real plant. π
Woohoo! Iβm excited for you on getting your first plant. I have killed too many succulents due to overwatering so they are safer with others. The main thing is light and donβt overwater. Make sure itβs in a good mix of succulent mix and perlite. They are low maintenance and will thrive with what everyone has said π€
