How do I know how many hours to keep the grow light on? It’s getting colder by the window and less sunlight naturally as we go through fall.

I posted this same exact question. Answers were varied and vague. I finally figured it out. I'm using mother nature as my guide. It's presently daylight approximately 6am - 7pm. So I'm keeping lights on for 12 hours. As winter gets closer, the amout of daylight decreases so I'll switch to 10 when it gets dark at 5 - then 8 during the darkest days of winter. It's exactly what happens in the wild so I'm counting on the plants being good with that.
