Very proud #plantmom here πŸ’š My beautiful girl Sylvia a #aglaonema Silver Bay is going to flower!!!! According to different articles it is very rare that an indoor Silver Bay flowers. When it does it shows they are in perfect growing conditions. I am so proud of her and myself. The 2 pics are what a new leaf looks like unfurling and the other the flower coming out πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š #happyplants #plantaddict #newgrowth #plantmakemehappy #aglaonema
Wow! Please update us with photos of the flowers once she blooms! That's amazing. Good job!
@starfirejem thank you πŸ’š It's so exciting! πŸ’š
Your Silver Bay is very lush with beautiful variegated leaves. It looks happy and healthy as it is about to bloom. Some suggest cutting the flower so the plant will save energy for leaf growth. πŸ’š
@Pegster yes I am going to cut it for that reason but not until it comes out. I must see what it looks like
To me, it is similar to a peace lily. I’m sure it will be nice. Please post a picture. 😊
@ShannonMHR yeah I would definitely want to see the flower. I would almost not want to cut it at all. I guess you could encourage new leaves to grow but then no more rare indoor flower
@SirLiquorice exactly and I need to see it. I am going to let her do her thing. It's to much of a special occasion. Eventually when and if it it's just using energy I will but for now it definitely stays.
@ShannonMHR yeah and it’s using energy for a good reason. I would rather leave it. Depending on how long the flower lasts. Some flowers already don’t last long enough like on some of my cacti.
Yay that’s amazing!!!! Awesome job plant mama 😊
@angelatwong thank you so much πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š
Beautiful girl!! Please keep us updated on your happy healthy lady!! I have one and it’s been so happy until last night I noticed one leaf was turning yellow. :( She looks on new growth pushing out and sometimes when a new leaf shows up the older more mature leaves just say goodbye!!
