Hello, I hope someone can help me. I’m trying to save this fern I rescued from a green waste bin and I had already cut out all the dead leaves leaving the ones in the pics. I can’t tell though the status of her roots, it seems it used to be quite a big plant that has been neglected.
I’d like to repot it but I don’t know how much soil should I remove from the roots?
Any advice is appreciated 😊

Thank you!

@SoundlyAnahaw Try shaking it for 5 seconds and that should get enough of soil out of the roots! You need some soil too! Wish you the best. ❀️πŸͺ΄πŸŒΏ

Thank you both so much!!! I left it soaking in water for 20’ also to wash the soil off a bit and repotted it. I don’t have many hopes, it seems all roots are dry 😭
Thanks for the articles, will check them out 😊
