Well…coming off the joy of my post from yesterday, I found my first ever mealybug today. I only see the one, but there’s gotta be more in there somewhere, right? Anything to do other than q-tips and alcohol? 🥲🥲🥲 #mealybug #mealybugs #PestControl

Look up mealy/spider mites spray! This worked wonders for me as I too had an infestation. Im not sure the exact measurements but it included water, a little dish soap, lemon and eucalyptus essential oils
You can spray 70% alcohol on the plant itself and it’ll kill them. Just keep the plant out of light for a day or two or it might burn the leaves. I’ve used Bonide systemic granules with great success.
I had an infested jade before too. I sprayed 70% alcohol on it, particularly in the crevices, and it worked beautifully.
Thanks everyone! I got the one visible one with a q-tip and alcohol, and then sprayed the whole thing with a mix of water, 70% alcohol, dish soap, and eucalyptus oil. 😬🤞
