My friend’s ZZ Plant (named Hope!) is having yellowing leaves. Any idea what’s going on? Any tips on best watering schedules and light placement for these plants? #ZzPlant Thank you! 🙏🏼

@Selvadestef good morning see if it needs to be repotted and only water every 14-15 days. It needs indirect sunlight so if its getting to much move it back from window. I would remove the yellow leaves
@Selvadestef 5 Remedies for Yellowing Leaves on ZZ Plant
Now that you know the leading causes for a ZZ plant's yellow leaves, here are five remedies for keeping healthy, green stems:
Watering: Only water a ZZ plant once the soil has mostly (but not completely) dried out.
Light: Place a ZZ plant in bright, indirect sunlight for at least 6 to 8 hours every day. Mine sits about a foot or so from a South facing window and has a plant light.
Fertilizer: If you notice yellowing due to nutrient deficiency, spot the type of missing nutrient before administering a fertilizer. I received a recommendation to use SUPERthrive and that’s been working well but my ZZ is enormous and in the past 10years I just used your run of the mill blue crystal powder fertilizer from any garden center I think it was Miracle Grow.
Bacteria: Remove the plant from the pot before cutting away dark, squishy material from the root or plant. Spray with two parts water and one part hydrogen peroxide before letting the plant dry off a little bit and repotting in a clean pot with fresh soil.
Pests: Use mild soap and water to remove any plants or insects from the plant. A spray from a removable showerhead often does the trick. - some of this is from The Spruce and some from me ☺️
I also follow a plant influencer who uses “sexy plant juice” it is a leaf cleaner pest killer and I love love love it as do ALL my plants!!! SEXY PLANT JUICE
SPRAY
- 2 CUPS WATER
- 2 TBSP NEEM OIL
- 1 TBSP PEPPERMINT CASTILE SOAP
- 1 TSP ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL. I also use MICROBE-LIFT BMC Biological Mosquito Control, Liquid Treatment for Medium-Sized Decorative Water Gardens Up to 2,000 Gallons, Fountains and Ponds, 6 Fluid Ounces to get rid of fungus gnats. I feel these are a really good combo (the SuperThrive, Sexy Plant Juice from Paigetailyn, and the gnats killer and you can’t go wrong) sorry for so much info. Paigetailyn or her other page "BLOSSOMEFFECT" is a hands down the best social influencer to go to learn! Here is my behemoth I just repotted her last night.
