She's the beauty Queen. She's basking in the morning Sun. It's the first day of Autumn today. She knows that, and she's shedding a leaf. It's one too many apparently. πŸ₯Ή
A piece of advice folks: only when a leaf is dry like this you can cut it off. It's not photosynthesizing anymore. But I let the leaf be there. It gives a natural look.

Whenever there’s a dead leaf I just gently tug on them and if they are too sturdy I just leave it. I don’t have the same type of succulent but here’s some advice.
I'm observing nature, and I'm trying to imitate it. There's an abundance of wild succulents here. There are the old dry leaves hanging on the stem of these plants. Nothing bad happens to these succulents with dry old leaves.
But thank you for your advice @Avocadonerd . Appreciate
@SvelteKingfern it brings a smile to my face when someone appreciates me, thank you for warming up my day! #plantslookoutforeachother
You're welcome πŸ’šπŸŒ΅πŸͺ΄Your comment warmed up my day as well. πŸ€— @Avocadonerd #plantslookoutforeachother (it's true that plants do this; these are the findings of the latest numerous researches)
@SvelteKingfern ❀️❀️❀️ 😁😁😁 cool! 🌸🌸🌸🌱🌱
I talk to my plants too. I play warm calming music to them on my ocarina. They seem to like it, I think. πŸ€” @Avocadonerd
@SvelteKingfern there are Benefits shown talking to plants and playing music to them. Talking reduces stress, anxiety, and makes you feel less lonely. Playing music makes them happier I think. Plants are cool!
I think the same @Avocadonerd
@SvelteKingfern I’m gonna water my avocado
Big and healthy looking plant. Well done πŸ‘ @Avocadonerd
My pride and joy: adopted by me cactus, that was left behind a shed to die for 9 years by a previous owner. It's not growing, but is alive and has made 3 healthy offsprings so far. @Avocadonerd
@SvelteKingfern I’m never going to throw away plants! They’re like my children! Names and all!
And if they’re dying I would at least use the dying leaves for compost
Neither do I. They're the live beings. Their lives depend on us. I want the best for my plants too. They're beautiful to me however they look. If they want a dry leaf to be there hanging, I let them. They know the best. @Avocadonerd
@SvelteKingfern agreed.
That's how nature intended. @Avocadonerd
This is how my echeveria looked after I got her, and after repotting. She went into a repotting shock. I was so worried. But luckily she pulled through. Look at her now 😁 @Avocadonerd
@SvelteKingfern beautiful.
My plants are like kids to me too πŸ€—πŸ’šπŸŒ΅πŸͺ΄ @Avocadonerd
Green thumb team! πŸŒ±πŸ‘
@SvelteKingfern she is exquisite! What is she and how do I get one in my life yesterday?!
@PoniesAndPlants She is a 'Fire and Ice' Echeveria.
You can't get it in the USA @PoniesAndPlants
@UltraKoreanfir @SvelteKingfern thank you both! Of course they’re not available in the US! That makes perfect sense πŸ™„

@PoniesAndPlants

Planet Desert sells large (landscape ready) bare root 'Fire and Ice' for just over $22.
But you know how succulents are; there are so many variants, and they might or might not be exactly the same here as the Australia variant.
@UltraKoreanfir thank you so much!!!! Y’all are the best
The USA ones do look different @UltraKoreanfir @PoniesAndPlants . Leaves not that light pink, but only dark pink edges. But they're still very nice.
@SvelteKingfern thanks for the heads up! Either way they’re gorgeous
@SvelteKingfern yes, and I think the leaves look to be slightly different in shape as well. It could just be because it is very large.
Yes, you're right @UltraKoreanfir . The leaves are different too; not that round and with less riffle. @PoniesAndPlants
