Need some advice on cactus propagation. Are these pups big enough to come off, or should I wait? Also, how picky are the pups when you add them to soil? Anything helps, thanks! #barrelcactus #cactusclique

It looks like the bulbs are already growing some roots so you should be able to just pop them off! Leave them sitting for a day to let them callous and then plant them directly into a light and airy substrate with lots of drainage making sure the little roots are covered in soil! I tend to also have success just planting the babies directly into some substrate even if they don’t have roots although it might take a while for them to grow roots and you seeing new growth!
