Ooh, I'll join! Things I love: seeing the new growth, going 'oh damn, that looks *good*!', experiencing the colors changes throughout the seasons (hello cool weather stress colors!), and the sense of pride when a struggling plant starts to take off. I have far too many to add to one post, but here are some highlights of my plants. @TidyTigerpear
I feel like my brag is all of my plants in general since they are succulents, and many people struggle with them! 😅🤣 I can keep them alive and thriving!!!
For real though, they are scary sometimes, but I haven’t suffered too many sad losses. They’re all happy, healthy, and colorful!! They’re the best 🌱

I’m hoping for success with this monster propagation station since most of these succes are cuttings with no roots. Also added some smaller succs who have benefitted from being propped with a buddy.

I’m new to plants, but what I’m most proud of this first year is the growth of my aloe! I got her at the supermarket for only $2 in a 4 inch pot with no drainage, and look at her now! She has 8 pups and is loving life. (Photos left to right are when I first got her vs after a repotting and some care vs now) 🥰

What I love about being a plant parent is the knowledge I’ve gained from my plants, seeing new growth on my babies, confirming that I’m doing my best by them, and when a succulent blooms for the first time. I love how tough succulents are, they are able to tolerate such harsh conditions all around the world, but still are able to grow into something beautiful with vibrant colors and cool shapes. It reminds me of myself with my ability to thrive and adapt no matter what I have gone through in life. 🤗💚 @RefinedSandwort

Whelp, I have to say I am proud of two things being a plant parent, one is my setup for how organized & tidy(I try) it is.. I love organized clutter lol. Two is the fact I have gained such confidence in taking care of succulents(clearly why I can’t discipline myself to stop buying them lol), not saying they are the toughest plants to own but they’re not easy as a beginner & man have they flared up my anxiety in the past 😂 I’m proud of the battles & what they all look like, I’m ocd about them being perfect & compact so growing them outdoors has had its challenges but for what I’m working with I think they are pretty dang impressive lol.
Here’s where I’ll really brag though, y’all, I have a “greenhouse guardian” I like to call her.. I found an injured praying mantis & thought to give her protection & a food source that I’d put her in the greenhouse, she’s been here a whole month so far! I find her on the ceiling every morning, her name is Mandy Mantis 🥹

I’ve only killed TWO SUCCULENTS in my time as a plant parent. My mom has a plant collection that I take care of and I am successfully keeping a croton alive! I know my plants don’t have my custom pots but I do paint a lot of them to sell at the farmers market! The acorn one I just started today, the bunny one was gifted to a friend last month. The last photo is a pot made by my cousin and I am painting it to commemorate my sweet Scarlett who passed unexpectedly this summer (Still in progress). (Okay enough talk about me, everyone else is doing SO WELL AND HAS GORGEOUS PLANTS!!)
This week I’ve been happiest about Hoya Polyneura flowering.
Funny story: I didn’t even know because she hides flowers at end of each branch under last pair of leaves. It was only while doing maintenance on neighboring plant that I reached down and caught ‘something’ in corner of my eye - turns out there’s a bunch of something’s. 😍

@AwesomePlants I'm proud that out of 98 plants there are only a handful that aren't doing as wonderful as I'd like them too. Statistically that's not bad! I also recently got my plants situated in tiers by their light needs. Succlents, Snake Plants etc. up front closest to the window and Philo, Rubber Tree and ZZ in the middle with grow lights to supplement. It's organized chaos. 😁👍💚

Oh have you seen Silvia? Absolute QUEEN, and have I talked about my plant shelf downstairs? I don’t think so but the setup is AMAZING. Have you seen a leaf this big on a montera? I bet not. My philodendron has the CUTEST POT! cute, check! Functional, check! Love it! Oh this huge ficus is SO BIG, I had to cut it back! My pothos I’ve had for 3 months? 5 new leaves.Swiss cheese plant is vining cheese everywhere to the point it makes me smell cheese, not guta, like cheddar. But only in my mind I guess.

This peace lily I have split twice now, and now have 3 big plants just like the one you see. Received it in 2018. It blooms year round but mostly in spring they have tons of blooms.
So long line of sentimental plants I work hard to keep happy. Proud plant parent for the long haul!
