@Idplantthat thatβs a beautiful Hoya! Congratulations π Already some sun stressing I see π
@Idplantthat you forgot the Hoya hashtags! #Hoya #HoyaHangout #HoyaHeads You are officially a Hoya Head now!!! π€ͺβΊοΈ
@AwesomePlants oh! Do tell, when you say finicky, do they just need more attention or more special soils? I put it in a mix of chunky coir and semi-hydro volcanic substrate. Planted in an orchid pot? In my greenhouseβ¦ so Iβm hoping sheβll be okay? I have this other one that was supposed to be tricky and I feel like sheβs been pretty easy? But idkβ¦ Iβll post a picture of the one I have and if you got pointers please share!
@MariansOasis ooh! I didnβt know about those ones! Thanks for the #tags! Iβll make sure to add them. I have a Hoya clipping that I need to post to have you all tell me what they are. lol I ended up with a few clippings here and there. lol
@Idplantthat I donβt have an undulata but I hear they do best mounted. Root rot is a common problem with them. I love all my Hoyas π but π€« π€ callistophylla & tricolor wayetii have beautiful leaves π. While Shooting Star (Hoya multiflora) constantly flowers! There are 3 popular Hoyas Krimson Queen, Krimson Princess and pubicalyx that no collection is complete without. Theyβre popular because they grow beautifully, have gorgeous leaves and are sooooo easy going!
@Idplantthat Hello π I have not been on here much lately. You said I could email you so I did a lil over a week ago. Maybe it went to spam? I have a question please AGAIN. Not sure what to do now. My dragon scale plant is finally taking off. I had to poke a hole in the top cuz it was restricted from growing. Now do I change all of it to a taller jar/glass? Is it ok to be open on the top like this? Also when you look at the plant, you can see green. Not sure what that is. Algae? Do I feed her now? Iβm stuck basically. Can you help? I have never done this whole process before. Iβm kind of excited about it growing faster & better now. The definite secret is putting her under grow lights. Let me know my next moves when you get a free minute please? #TheWateringHole #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #NewGrowth
@Idplantthat Oh yeah, you got some Ho-ya's!
