First time vegging outdoors without beds!

For the first time in probably 3 years, I’m doing some veg outside! I haven’t got actual beds at this house, so I’m having to improvise! 🌱πŸ₯•πŸ₯—

Plastic pots for peas, and a rectangular metal planter (so technically #TeamCan ) with roughly mixed rocket and lettuce seeds. I’ve got another rectangle for some pepper seeds I’m trying to germinate as I type! πŸ«‘

We had a fence panel come down, so we’ve broken it apart and my plan is to make more planters with it… if anyone has advice for such a venture please let me know..!! πŸ› πŸ”¨

Some potential #GregFeedback here, I’d love to be able to add the dimensions of rectangular pots! This is about 10cm across but about 25/30 wide! πŸ“
I’d also love to be able to put what kind of soil combination I have, most of my pots are combinations of the soil types so I never quite know what to put

@Nallon I love your ideas for your veggies. I haven't started my veggie garden yet..I grow my veggies in straw bales. This is my 7th year. I found out about straw bale gardening on Facebook, bought the book by Joel Karsten, it's a great way to grow veggies and the crops are great! https://journeywithjill.net/gardening/2020/04/21/straw-bale-gardening/
Love it! All the best and fingers crossed for a bountiful harvest when they all grow up 🀞

I've recently set up a grow light under our house due to unforeseen wet weather, got a bunch of mixed seeds germinating and sprouting (Watermelon, Peas, Tomato, Beetroot, Pumpkin, Zuchinni, Corn, and Lettuce)
Excellent Ideas Becky!

We are constantly looking at ways to better calculate the volume of pots.
Nice set-up for your vegetable garden. Good Luck!
