Wanted to give an update on Clive my Sedum Clavatum. πΏπΈ
I got him from Mountain Crest Gardens, about a month ago, when I got it, he had a bloom stalk that was pretty far along. It hadnβt yet formed the buds but I could tell it was getting there. Today it opened (picture 5) I havenβt gotten the photo of it fully open yet, but it finished opening this afternoon when I put him outside. (I will take another photo later and post in comments).
He also has grown a very teeny tiny offset, (photo 3) & had one larger offset when I got it. (Visible in photo 2). Iβm so happy that he has been thriving since I planted him. Since he is a soft succulent, I was pretty nervous about caring for him, since I havenβt had the best luck with soft #succulents in the past. The flower is white, very small, & somewhat star shaped like most succulent flowers. It also has pink stamen or more specifically βanthersβ inside the bloom. bloomingSuccs">#bloomingSuccs #GrowingSuccs #sedumclavatum #Sedum #SucculentSquad #succulents #succulentsaturday #SucculentLove #HappyPlants #NewGrowth #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #OutdoorGrowing #SpringHasSprung

@RefinedSandwort thank you ππΏπΈ
@TidyTigerpear GORGEOUS!!! Congrats to you! And thanks for sharing these beautiful pics! ππ½That tiny offset is too cute! And the flowers are so delicate and lovely with the little pink!! I need all your tips on how I can *hopefully* get mine to flower too. π€©πΈ
@SunnyPlants wow ! So big and pretty! I canβt wait till mine gets bigger and more established like yours ! I think right now itβs there growing/blooming season. Iβve been keeping mine outside and it seems to like it. I had to bring it in for tonight though. Like we talked about yesterday the weather being crazy, it was 66 today but it may get to freezing temps tonight.. π we also are supposed to get a lot of rain this week, which means we wonβt be having much sun. But it wouldnβt surprise if that changed drastically by the time the week starts.. πππ€·π»ββοΈ
@SunnyPlants well as far as flowering, this one kinda was already in the works when I received it in the mail. Iβve only had two-three blooms that developed in my care.. I think one of the most important things is it having a consistent care schedule and also they all have different blooming seasons. Some bloom in spring, and other bloom in late winter. The blooms that developed for me, were the ones that I neglected the most, or just let them do their own thing lol. My Graptosedum Cali Sunset bloomed for me a couple months ago, prior to that I hardly watered it, or even looked at it ππ« I swear succulents thrive on neglect & less careβ¦ thatβs one of the biggest things Iβve learned. They kinda just like to do their own thing and prefer to be left alone π

@TidyTigerpear Thank you! This grew from a 2 inch pot! π I generally only buy tiny succulents as the price is right π and I really enjoy caring for them and watching them grow. π I also put mine outside when the weather cooperates ππ, which we both seem to have crazy weather, so we know that goes!π€·πΌββοΈ
@TidyTigerpear Since I do usually buy these 2 inch succulents in stores, many times they didnβt have any tag with name, so Iβd buy them and then try to poke around the internet to find out what their names were, so I could attempt to better care for them. π
2-3 blooms in your care is awesome! I swear I didnβt even know many of these could bloom until I got on hereπ and was like π€―π
So, this info about their seasons for bloom will be helpful! And I do agree with you on the neglect of established succulents. The bigger they are, the more I need to ignore them. π
Thatβs so awesome that your Graptosedum Cali Sunset bloomed for you so easily! And beautiful blooms in those pics! π€© Btw just added that to my endless wishlist! π

@vvvelo wow four years !! Thatβs a long time. Itβs very beautiful. Love the colors !
@TidyTigerpear thank you. My growlights make it looks this way. I guess it gets too much light.
@TidyTigerpear beautiful
@vvvelo I figured that was the cause of the coloration, itβs very beautiful. what kind of grow lights do you use ? Could you share a link?
@FitBrowallia thank you! πΈπ€
