Will it really frost tonight? πŸ« πŸ˜΅β€β™«

Someone please lie to me and tell me it won’t actually frost tonight and my plants won’t die. πŸ« πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« I brought any tropical in that I would be devastated to lose - but all the biggies, the cacti, and a several others are still out there. The pics of the sun porch are how many I had before I started moving some inside. πŸ™ƒ I was NOT prepared this year. And since it’s Kansas, it will be 80 again soon.

My fingers are crossed 🀞 that frost doesn’t come. You have some beautiful flowers
And yes that is a #plantproper box because apparently I have entered my #HoyaEra
@kaleena put an electric heater out there for the night, and let it oscillate back and forth (just not too close to the planties).
I think we have made it through the worst of it for at least a week! Looking forward to keeping the cacti out there a little longer, especially. πŸ₯° but it is Kansas so then again, you never know. πŸ˜‚
I understand the feeling. I used to bring all my plants in from the covered porch right off the house, when it was going down into the 50s overnight. This year I took a chance and found out they can all tolerate the 50’s…….probably from being on the covered porch and so close to the heat the house gives off. But last Friday night it was going down to 45 so all week after work, I worked on bringing them all in. And it has been in the 40s at night pretty regularly since then. They are all ok inside but many do much better outside all summer. Can’t help it here in Ohio, but I do wish we lived in Florida (where we are soon to visit daughter and grandkids who live there). Sigh. We now have our winter jungle going on inside. I have more plants than last year so I have to work at finding good places for them. Fortunately last week I moved into an office with a window at work, and brought a lot of them directly there. Timing worked out great on that. @kaleena #OhioGang #MidwestGreggers #Zone6ers #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict
@AC73LoveCats that is great timing! I have an office on campus at KU but I’m rarely there. It’s hard enough getting that two FLFs I have there watered hahaha. I have kept a lot of the plants (mostly cacti) outside still and they have been fine so far! It’s been getting down to low 40’s - high 30’s - same struggle here in Kansas where it’s so nice during the day that they NEED to be outside. I have an extra cat this year who is a Maine Coon who is a little wild and isn’t as likely to leave the plants alone like my three boys. I’m trying to put as much as I can in WallyGrow planters and hanging them with macrame! πŸ˜‚
