Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Here are two avocados that I have propagated. I found out that spending them in water isn’t very good. In my opinion, putting them in soil with a pointy side of the pit up and about a third of the pit sticking out of the ground works better. While probably getting the avocado pit, remember to put a clear plastic cup over the top it creates a little greenhouse. After it’s sprouts remove the cup. This morning I went outside and found a new one about 3 inches tall, which is not in this picture. Happy planting everyone. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #SucculentLove #PlantTherapy #PlantAddict #PetsAndPlants #MonsteraMonday #PlantCorner #BeforeAndAfter #RarePlants #avacado @AdonicKohleria2 @BuffCaperspurge @DreamMachine @FamedGymealily @princesspitstop @GreatestYuzu9 @MockingJay @somewhatsara @sunnymatcha
@Forbes57 , yes, I did the same thing. I used to take toothpicks in them and let them sit in water. I think the problem with that is it’s not approximating what they’re going to grow in later. These I’ve propagated in the soil it takes several weeks for them to start the grow. I also put clear plastic cups over the top of them and made a little greenhouse until they sprouted.
@Malagueña I have 3 right now myself! I did the same thing g that @Forbes57 Patti did with the toothpicks! One of mine is 3’ tall now! Happy Thanksgiving! 🪴
