Oh my!, so tinyπŸ₯ΊπŸ’•! How long did it take for them to sprout?
@Lunatik4 aaa thank you! πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’• i’m real proud of them lol. i was quite worried at first because they wouldn’t germinate for like the first 9-10 days, but the first batch sprouted around then and the rest a few days later… so maybe around 2 weeks for all of them to start growing!
@strawberrymoon oh thank you! Then I won't be afraid if I buy seeds instead of grown lithops ✨
@Lunatik4 i think it’s definitely something anyone who likes lithops should try at least once! they’re really slow growing though so it’ll take a few years for them to get to β€˜regular’ lithops size :)
They are so cute! Idk why but I really love baby succulents. I guess it’s the tiny part any maybe a bit of maternal instinct? I want to just love them to life! Grow pups, grow!
@Lunatik4 your emojis perfectly describe my actual reaction to these πŸ₯Ή πŸ’•
@AGsquirrel80 i’ll let them know you’re encouraging them!! <3 i think it’s good for the succulents too to love them lots. it means you’ll care for them and look at them more so you’ll be able to learn to recognize their signs better, like when they need water, more sun etc. :)
@strawberrymoon I just saw you are in zone 10a. Must be in my backyard πŸ˜‚ I’ll trade plant sitting. The cat is a bit depressed since his adopted sister passed but he’s coming around. I’ve been adopted by two feral cats and I had one when I lived a little further south so I know better than to feed them but it’s so hard to hear them cry! Thankfully plants cry in only dead leaves, but not audibly. πŸ‚πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
@Lunatik4 very cute. Did you start from seeds, or what?
Soo cute!😍 I just sowed mine 2 days ago! Hoping I didn't screw upπŸ˜†πŸ« πŸŒ±
@strawberrymoon These are adorable!! ☺️😍
@AGsquirrel80 lol i wouldn’t mind living in your backyard if you’ve got cats! i’m sorry to hear about your kitties, please give the brother cat a treat on my behalf <3 honestly i think it’ll be fine to feed and care for the ferals as long as you have a way to neuter them to make sure they don’t make kittens. some shelters do free/cheap TNRs so it might be a good idea to look for some!
@MockingJay they might not show up for a while but i think getting them to germinate is pretty easy! all the best and remember to remove the bag/covering if you placed one on top once they’ve sprouted 🌱
@SunnyPlants thank you! πŸ’•πŸ’•
@AGsquirrel80 read The Secret Life of Plants and then tell me how plants cry!
