A year ago I came across someone in a local nursery who led me to this beauty. She had 5 leaves at the time. I had been searching for one like her for approx 30+ yrs! My paternal grandma had a giant one that bloomed so often. I'd sneak in her sunroom & stroke the stunning, tiny, velvet petals and take in the beautiful aroma. I don't know what ever happened to my grandmas, as I was 13 when she passed. I started my search for "the plant" when I was in my 20's, but my vague description stumped all whom I asked. That is until a very kind nursery worker who made it her quest to help me. I didn't know anything about Hoyas when I got her last yr. I planted her in the wrong soil and a big pot. šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø. She still did amazing for me despite my mistakes. I wanted to wait for warmer temps to repot her. I hope this makes her even happier and maybe one day she'll bloom for me šŸ˜šŸ„° #hoya
Such a really cool story and Iā€™m sure your grandmother is smiling āœ”ļø
@GaryPoopins thank you! I bet she's hoping my grandbabies will be naughty & rub the thick leaves & velvet petals also šŸ˜‚šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
